In this solo promotional video, Matt (the speaker) argues that medical professionals should pursue business coaching to transition from insurance‑based practices to cash‑based ones. He frames coaching as the natural extension of the medical training pathway—undergrad, med school, residency, fellowship—suggesting that just as doctors seek mentors and fellowships to master clinical skills, they should seek business mentors to master practice economics. Matt claims that medical schools deliberately omit business education to keep physicians within the insurance system, but doctors are capable of learning business because both fields rely on scientific, data‑driven decision‑making. He encourages doctors to reject the notion that they are “dumb” at business, to prove skeptics wrong, and to use coaching as a shortcut to profitability. The video culminates with a call to action: viewers can obtain a free printed copy of his book, The Anatomy of a 7‑Figure Medical Practice, which he positions as the definitive guide to building a successful cash practice.

Hey everyone, I'm Matt, and I want to show you how to start injecting cash profits into your insurance practice starting today. Coaching. Some people think they need it. Some people think they don't. Some people can figure it out on their own. Well, I always like to use the analogy and the example of medical school. So when you decided that you were going to become a doctor, What did you do? You decided to go to a school for undergraduate that would give you a leg up, that would give you the right kind of training for you to go to the right kind of medical school. And then you chose your medical school based on what you wanted to accomplish as a doctor. And then you chose your residency. You petitioned to go to your residency. You made your 2, 3, 4, 5 choices based on who you thought was going to be the right person to learn from. And then when you get done with residency and you're an attending, You do the same thing. And then when you start your— you're really starting your practice, what do you do? You do fellowships. And why do you do fellowships? Because you identify somebody who has been there, done that. And so the whole conversation with coaching is this is exactly what you have done your entire life. In fact, you have found mentors, you have found coaches, you have found fellows who would show you the way and give you the easy button, if you will, or the shortcuts. So that you didn't have to beat your head up against a wall. Now, look, you can learn a lot of different ways, but hasn't learning how to treat patients and become an expert in your field been a lot easier by going to an event, signing up for webinars, going and investing money to go spend a couple of days with somebody who's an expert in your field, or doing a fellowship? Because that's exactly what you do. So here's this that I want to leave with you. Just remember that in med school, they don't train you about business because they don't want you to know. They don't want to teach you business because they don't want you going out on your own. They want you to become part of the system. They're really just feeder schools for the system. That's all they are. But you can. You are the smartest people in the world. Don't ever say that you're just a dumb old doctor, that you can't learn anything about business, because you can. My gosh, you've learned the anatomy. You've made it through organic chemistry, for God's sake. Some of you excelled at it, and you certainly have learned how to do surgeries or whatever else. So you're very smart people. You just have to do a little bit of work. That's it. And you can do that with business because here's the cool thing. Medicine and business are based on science. And so every decision that we make from a business standpoint is based on data. It's based on science. It's based on what has worked before, what hasn't worked before, right? And we test. So everything that you're doing in your medical practice and what you've been taught to do about being a doctor, Works exactly for being in business. So you can do this. Don't ever say that you're a dumb doctor. Don't ever say somebody tell you that you're not any good at business. Prove them wrong, just like you did when you were 8 years old and you told your uncle that you wanted to be a doctor and he said, ah, you'll never make it. You're smart, you're intelligent, you're driven, and when you set your mind to it, you can do anything you want, including get rid of the insurance company and run a great cash practice.
