Matt Paulson walks through MarketBeat's new 10,000 sq ft headquarters in downtown Sioux Falls, expanding from 1,500 sq ft to fit 30 employees. The space includes an aquarium, gym, private bathrooms, and a rooftop deck overlooking local landmarks, with a move planned for mid-October.
Hey, guys, I'm Matt Paulson. This is the new Markbeat office. It's a work in progress and we're excited to show you how far it's come. Markbeat's out of space at our current office. Company continues to grow. We're up to 14 employees in a 1500 square foot space. So, you know, it's time to expand. And when we heard this building was going up, we were excited to be. So our new office is about 10,000 square feet. That will allow us to grow to about 30 people. I'll finally have my own office. So our leadership team will have plenty of collaboration space. Just more room to work and more room to spread out. And I think that'd be a good thing for everybody. Part of this office was specifically designed to place the aquarium in here and then to have kind of a maintenance room behind it and even to get it up here is going to be quite the process. They had to redesign one of the doors just so the fish tank could fit through. But I think we got it all figured out and we're excited to have our fish come with us. You know, our current office is a pretty special place. And when we knew it was time to move, we. We wanted to have a space that was equally special. And we didn't feel like we could get that by moving in an office space that somebody else had had before and try to make it work for our purposes. We really wanted to build a new office from a real shell and build from the ground up in the way that we wanted to. That is authentic to Markabee. Alright, we are going to be at the front door of what is the future Markbeat headquarters. The elevators are back there. Our front door will be here. The Markbeat neon sign will be on that brick wall. Reception will be here. The aquarium will be right there. Over here we're gonna have an outside deck with some SE on there. Over here is kind of our interior elevator access. We'll have some soft seating kind of right here. We're gonna have a mural of Wall street right up there on that wall. That'll be really cool when that's done. So the new office is gonna have a lot of cool things that our current office does. Covered parking for all the employees. We'll have our own private bathroom. We'll have a gym in here. We'll have plenty of space for meetings and eating lunch and, you know, working quietly. So if you want to collaborate with people, you can do that. Or if you just want to have a quiet workspace, we'll have that, too. Not to mention we probably have the best view in the city. We're really excited. As you can see, we have one of the best views in downtown Sioux Falls. You can see Shropawan over there. You can see the river, see the Arc of Dreams. You can see Raven. You can see the cathedral in the background. Just a great view of downtown Sioux Falls. Then as we head this way, we're going to walk into the gym. Health and fitness is something that we care about at MarketBeat, and so, yeah, we put a gym in. So Markabeat is a downtown company. A lot of the organizations we work with are based downtown. A lot of the nonprofits we support, like Startups who Follows and the Levitt, are downtown. We're big fans of Queen City Bakery next door, and this is just where we want to be. Also want to thank a lot of the companies that we've been working with. ISG as an architect, Journey Group as a construction company, and then Northern Plains Management Design as our interior designers. They've all been fantastic to work with and have helped make this dream come to life. And it's been a long road. As we film this, it's the middle of May. We're expecting to move in the middle of October. So right now we're very much at kind of the shower and framing stage, and we're excited to see this place come to life over the next several months.
