How To Find a Profitable Idea?

In this 30‑minute live webinar, business consultant Mayur Bardolia walks aspiring entrepreneurs through a step‑by‑step system for discovering a profitable business idea without needing venture capital or a "shower‑inspired" breakthrough. He argues that the only way to build a profitable business is to sell a product that solves a widespread, painful problem and makes customers feel a better version of themselves. The core of his method is rigorous market research: interview 20‑30+ potential customers, avoid confirmation bias, never try to sell during the interview, and focus on uncovering real pains and desires. He provides scripts for opening conversations, emphasizes the need to gather unfiltered complaints, and suggests a 30‑day note‑taking exercise where participants record every problem they hear or experience. Bardolia also explains why many entrepreneurs fail—by creating products first and then trying to create demand—and outlines the categories of human motivations (health, wealth, relationships, prestige, peace) that drive purchases. The webinar ends with a call to action to watch a free case‑study video on his website and to book a strategy call for personalized help.

So I'm assuming for a lot of you, this is probably not your first webinar. Okay. And the first thing, you know, I want to mention is that if you have tried to find a good business idea and failed at it, It's not your fault. And there's a lot of information out there, and it can be confusing. Many times that information overload keeps you from success, but it's okay, you know, it happens. If you've been concerned in the past that you just cannot succeed with finding the profitable business idea, and I want to put those fears to rest. You can do this, okay? You just need the right system, which I'm gonna share with you. And you need to follow the matter, you're gonna learn from this video. So the big corporations and consultants and investors, you know, want you to think, you know, you need a lot of venture capital, you need a lot of money to start a business. I think that's wrong, right? Or they also tell you that you need some fancy cool idea to start a successful business, but that's not true at all. So I'm here to tell you they are wrong. And they have their own reasons for wanting you to think that, but it's not true. So the difference with me is that I actually care about your success, and I truly want to see you living the life of your dreams. And that's why I'm here. So that's what we are here for. I know you have a dream to change the world and make an impact, and I wanted to show you to make that happen. During this webinar, so what are you going to get from this webinar? So let's dive into it. Okay, perfect. So the only way to run a profitable business is to. Have the product that people happily buy. Okay, because the only way to run a profitable business is to have the product that people happily buy, and it's possible through the method of market research system you will learn from me in this next 30 to 40 minutes, right? And most people believe that the thing stopping them from starting their own business is a good idea. Right? You don't need a good idea. I don't think there's anything called good idea or bad idea. And I hear people say things like, oh, I just need an idea. And all the good ideas are taken. And I had an idea for something, but that somebody else is using it. Oh, how can I find the idea like Facebook or Google or Uber? Mostly believe that their idea is the best one that people must buy. Okay, just because, you know, they love their ideas so much and people must buy, and it's a big mistake. If you search for ideas, you will never find one. I think that's, that's the bad news, you think, but it's not. You must go looking for problems instead. And what I mean by that, so how come the problems can help you to find the profitable business idea? So here's what we need to— what we are going to cover today. So first of all, we're gonna find what's the method to find the business idea. Then we see what mistakes do people make when they choose a business idea, why people buy, and what will make them pay you happily. Okay, and the last part is actually really interesting, but no, but only when you understand the first 2 fundamental parts correctly. And if you try to look for an idea you can't find it. And people think the idea comes from a shower or something, but it doesn't. No. And it doesn't happen that way. It happens only when someone is in business for 10 years, in business, you know. But it's, but it's really rare, you know. People don't find the ideas in the shower. So you will never find an idea when you try to search for it, okay? But you just have to flip it over. And next part is really interesting. Um, you will— you have to flip it over and look for the problems. And what you do instead, you go look for the problems that people are facing. Find out what is the massive problem and what do people dislike, what do people find as a burden. Okay, and I've seen people do the business without understanding if people really want it or not. Okay, and when people say I like it, it doesn't always mean people are going to buy from you. And people also think that their idea is just too cool, you know, but it's not necessary that people are going to buy your cool idea. And you need more than cool in your business to make any profit, because not necessarily if something is really cool it is profitable. It is not the case. People don't buy just because it's just so fancy. You need to go to the market and find what problems the prospects are facing and what solution they are seeking. So now the question for you is, how many people do you need to ask or call before you even determine it's a market problem, right? Is it 2 people? Probably five people or ten people. There's no definite answer, but it must be widespread. It must not be one to five people. You know, you just don't go to five people and say, "Oh, what's the problem you face?" No, you will not get a really good idea or the insights. And this is a classic mistake. And don't assume your business idea after meeting only one to three people. It is not a good idea. You need to talk to at least 20 to 30 people at least. And if you notice that if the problem is spread to, you know, 30 people or so, it's really good. So you also need to find the problem within the same group of people and spread in different areas. So don't just talk to 1 to 5 people, talk to 30 people at least. And I— don't ask me where I get this number from, okay? It's just roughly, you know, when you meet 30 people, you get a better idea. So then it's a real problem you can solve. Okay, now interestingly, many times I have also noticed that people have a confirmation bias or an assumption. And what does it mean? It means that people are so much in love with their idea that they ask people who agree with them. Okay, and it means that people are so much in love with their idea That they ask people who agree with them, and it fails because when you go and taste in the market, people don't buy because you only talk to people who agreed with you. No, don't be attached to the idea, and you wonder why people don't buy, you know, what I sell. So don't be biased. Ask people and listen what they say. Yes, no, or I will only buy if XYZ thing is added or XYZ is not part of it. Okay. So you need to listen to them completely. Don't just ask and get the answer like yes or no. Dig down into it, right? What problem you, you think you want to solve? Why do you need to solve this problem? And all those kind of things. So just don't— you don't need to go ahead and ask, okay, oh, do you have this problem? People will probably say yes, but it's not good. Instead What you need to do is you need to go to people and you have to say without any bias, you have to let them tell you what the problems are. Like you can ask, you know, like on a day-to-day basis, what are the painful problems that you are facing? You know, I— okay, do you experience and do you think someone should solve this problem? Now you're probably wondering That how the hell, you know, people are going to share the problem, right? So when you need to first introduce, obviously, you know, yourself and your objective, and people love to talk about their problems and they really are looking for the solution, they're looking for someone who can help them to solve. So you need to build up the rapport first, okay? You need to tell them upfront that, okay, here's what I'm going to do. So I will share the script anyway, but do not try to sell. They will sense it, and you will also feel under pressure when you try to sell something to them when you're doing the market research. So you got to understand, when you do the market research, never try to sell. Never. Because market research is a different activity and sales is a different activity. But sales will come only after you do the market research, okay? So when you do the research, do the research, okay? They will recognize if you try to sell after the research. They recognize if you try to sell after a question. So don't be so salesy or pushy when you try to do the research. Don't say, oh, you are not on the first page on Google, is that a problem? No, don't impose your idea or opinion on others, okay? And here's an interesting thing, people don't even know what they want. All right, so that's really wonderful. You need to know the desire of the market. Many times you must have noticed that when you go and buy clothes in a, you know, in a shop or in a mall, you're looking for clothes but you don't exactly, you know, know what exactly you want. So you need to know the desire of the market, you know. Because people don't even know what their real problem is, and you cannot create the desire in the market. And it's been said by the very famous marketer called Gary Halbert, you know, if you really want to learn marketing, he is the guru of marketing. I can say Gary Halbert is the name. He said that you can't create the desire in the market, okay? You got something and you think, oh, people should buy, let's create the desire, and And that's exactly the classic mistake people do when they think they got a great product. Let's go and create the desire. Let's do some Facebook ad. Let's put the hoarding out there on the, on the road and let's print in the newspaper. Let's create the desire. No, you cannot create the desire in the market. You need to harness the desire of the market. Okay? You need to gather the desire to one place. Okay, there must be a desire in the market. You cannot fight the market, okay? You cannot swim against the flow. People always have the problem, but they don't even know if the solution is available or not, okay? They always know what they don't like. Remember that, okay? They always know what they don't like. So if you have any question or anything, just leave your question or Or anything that you like so far, leave in the comment box that I can know. You know, I'm going in the right flow. If you have any question, feel free to ask. So email the people, okay? Ask for the permission. Ask them, right? Don't just bombard them, okay? Email them. When you're doing the research, ask, hey, I'm not trying to sell you anything, right? I'm just conducting a research, and in the end, I'm happy to share my findings, okay? The research I'm going to do, I'm going to share with you exactly at the end. But I'm trying to find out what, what are the most painful problems in your business in this industry. Okay, so if you can reply, even if it's 4 to 5 lines, it's awesome. Just send them an email, send a message to people, ask for the permission, ask them I'm doing research. Okay, I'm more than happy to share you my results. I'm trying to find out what is the What's the most painful problems in your business, in your industry? So, okay, and ask them to reply in 4 to 5 lines, and it's really good. Just ask them, okay, and send out the email or message. And I try to ask for the phone calls, okay, and see if they can come on the call. If they don't, still fine. And many things happen when I first, you know, doing the market research. I started with the message and I invited them on the phone call. And some may turn up on the call and trust me, some of them even turned into a lunch meeting. And that's, that was really incredible. And if you do it without any agenda or a bias, right? Don't try to sell anyone. You don't have any agenda to just come up with the business idea. You're just doing market research. Don't feel attached. You don't feel any burden to sell. You're free to talk to them. And you just want to understand the industry. You will get the complete picture after meeting and asking 30 to 40 people, not before that. Don't just be shy. Don't just, you know, try to stay in the comfort zone or a cocoon. Meet and ask people. Okay, so the thing is, now the next question, people, is, oh, I've done the research, I created the product. Now, can I go and try to sell those people who took part in the survey? I think that's a good question. And the answer is you can go back and say, hey, hey, I built up this thing and it solves the problem. Do you want to solve it or not? And this is really an acid test for you. If you have done the research correctly, if you think your product solves their problem, why would they say no? They can be your first client, right? If they're facing the problem, you provide the solution, they're going to buy from it. Okay, so remember, here's a golden tip for you: people buy what makes them feel a better version of themselves, right? Cool. Remember that according to what better means to them is understand what people really want, okay? Talk to them and become a supplier of that thing. People are going to buy What makes them feel better version of themselves? You can't supply what nobody wants. You need to understand by taking an accurate view of the market, and it takes a lot of time to understand your market. Trust me, it is a painful process, but this is the process. This is the hardest process in the entire business. I can say that because this is the groundwork, and most people don't even do because it's a lot of hard work up. Front. And when people don't do this work, they fail. They create the product and they do the marketing, they do the Facebook ad, they hire the best designer of the world and they create a cool logo, and they wonder nobody is interested because they haven't done the groundwork in, in the beginning, right? You need to do the wrong things to figure out what is right. You can't do the right thing in the beginning. You have to start from somewhere. You can't figure out if you don't start. People just sit on the couch and think, yeah, I think people will buy this, but they are not going to buy. And even if it's stupid, still do it, right? Because there is no such thing as the best business idea or dumb business idea. No, there is no such thing as that. If the solution to a massive problem That no one else can see, right? No one else can find out. This can be the problem. These are the best business ideas. And here's a great business tip I can share in this, in this, in this video. The more painful the problem, the greater the opportunity is when you solve the problem. You can't think in the beginning, right? Just start from somewhere and you will figure out Again, don't do the mistake like most people do. Most people create the product and then start the marketing, and that's the wrong approach. That's the wrong approach. Don't do that. Nobody will buy what you sell just because you want to sell them. So when my coaching clients ask me to help them to find the business, I share them the most straightforward process. Okay, when the clients enroll in my coaching program, the— in the first session, I teach this thing to them and I share them the most straightforward process and the simplest process, and they work on it and find out the cool business idea, right? So what exactly do I ask my clients to do? People— I mean, I'll share the process anyway, all right? And people spend their money to solve the problems, right? And that's the key. And people want to solve the following problems. People want to solve the problem that can help them to make more money. If you're helping people to be richer or helping people to save their money, they're gonna buy from you. People spend money for their better health. Okay, and people will pay you a lot of money if you help them to live longer, to help them to be fit. That's why there's a huge industry for the, uh, in the health sector, like nutrition, supplement, gym trainers, gym membership, and all those kind of things. People spend money that can enhance them to build up a joyful relationship, and that is the reason why There are some businesses which are thriving, such as restaurant business, because people go there and they they meet each other and spend time together. People go to cafe, right? Because they want to meet. They they want to enhance the relationship. People want to pay who can give them the recognition. People will pay which brings them more peace. And happiness and prestige. People pay for that. People pay for what brings them more fulfillment. And ultimately, ultimately, here's a golden rule for you: all the money in the world is spent on feeling good, right? Interesting, isn't it? So how you gonna find the idea that, you know, help people to feel good, right? How you gonna do that? So for the next 30 days, do the following steps, okay? If you really want to find out what makes people feel good. So this summarize the entire video in an entire webinar. But if you just make a habit of the exercise which I'm going to share with you, right, it will blow your mind. It will help you to generate the profitable business idea because like I shared earlier on, you cannot sit on the couch and say, oh, what can be the best idea? I hope people— that trainer has said that, you know, people find better ideas in shower. Right? No, that's not always the case. It— the ideas are developed when you input a lot of information in your brain, right? And the brain will automatically come out, I mean, with a very good idea when you stay still. So here's the exercise you should do over a period of next 30 days, right? Create a note in your phone. You must have a smartphone, I guess. So there's an application called Notes. I think that is very, very valuable application. So create a note in your phone, write down everything people complain about. Just listen to them, be a good listener, talk to them, right? And listen to what they complain about. Write down every problem, you know, you run into your own life. Write it down, just note down everything. So step one was open the notepad in your phone and write down everything people complain about. And the third one is every problem you think you run into your own life and just note down consistently.
