In this instructional video, Mayur Bardolia introduces the hypnotic language pattern of tag questions—short questions appended to statements (e.g., "don't you?", "isn't it?") that prompt the listener to confirm understanding and agreement. He explains that because listeners momentarily accept the statement as true, they are more likely to adopt it permanently. Mayur demonstrates everyday examples, emphasizes the importance of using a downward tonal inflection to make the tag feel like a command, and provides three practical exercises: (1) list six statements where a tag can be added, (2) practice delivering tags with a downward tone, and (3) play tag‑question games with friends or real‑world interactions. The video concludes with a call to explore his website, articles, and training programs for deeper NLP learning.

Hello, it's your friend Mayur Bardolia. In this video, we're gonna talk about one of my favorite hypnotic language patterns, and that language pattern is called tag questions. Now, what is tag question? Tag question is the question what we tag at the end of the statement And it asks the listener to verify their understanding and agreement with the statement. And we use tag questions every single day so many times, we haven't paid that much of attention to it. And it's— the results are really amazing. Now, tag questions are such as do you, don't you, should you, should you not, will you, won't you, is it, isn't it, Are you? Aren't you? And how we are using it in everyday life. Let me give you some examples. Okay, you think that you use it every day, don't you? You think this is so easy, right? Don't you? And you are using it without your conscious awareness, aren't you? And you will start using it After this video, won't you? And maybe you can start using it now, can't you? Okay, so the thing is, when I use tag questions, you most probably say yes to me, and that's where the magic lies. The one of the greatest feature of tag question is when you say tag question, the listener has to momentarily accept your statement. As it is true. And when the listener accepts it momentarily, that leads to a greater chance to accept it as it is true permanently. Now, isn't it cool? Okay, so the thing is, you start doing it now, right? Use it consciously until it becomes your habit. Okay, so I'll give you 3 different exercises. Exercise number 1. List down at least 6 language patterns, 6 sentences at the end of which you can use tak questions. Okay, such as maybe you are trying to persuade your client. Okay, an example is, you like this product, don't you? Maybe you feel that you want to buy right now, don't you? And exercise number 2, when you say Tak questions, try to use the downward tonality. Downward means try to speak in downward tone when you use tak questions. I give an example. You know you're going to use this question, right? Aren't you? And maybe you would like to say that either now or maybe later on you will start using it. Want you. And when you use the downward tone, the listener's brain automatically accepts it as it's a command. So when their brain is accepting it as a command, they mostly say yes to you. Okay, try out on that, it's really wonderful. Exercise number 3, try out with your friends. Maybe you can play some games, maybe you can just throw out one statement and the other person has to give the tak question, attach the tak question and see how they are responding. Maybe you can just go out and try with the real people, real world. Try using it every now and then and see the magic. You will see that by using the tag question, you are making it easy for the other person to agree with you. Don't underestimate the power of tag question. Try out today itself.
