What is conversational hypnosis? When you want new results, it requires new thinking, said by Richard Bandler. Now Milton Erickson is the famous hypnotherapist ever lived. He is the founder of conversational hypnosis. It's been known that he could bring the change in people by using hypnotic language, and he could do change works using some hypnotic tools. So conversational hypnosis consists of hypnotic language patterns of Milton Erickson and other great persuaders, artfully vague language which encourages the listener to project their own meaning onto the words being spoken. Now there's also another side of the story. A man named James Braid studied mesmerism and magnetism. He found that there is no magic in it. It was more to do with language, suggestion, specific thought we want others to think on, seeding of ideas in others' mind, and elegant way of communication only. When people are in hypnotic state, he noticed that they were sleepy and drowsy, and it looked very much like they were in sleep-like state. Not only that, he researched further and realized that people can be hypnotized with eyes wide open. He changed the name to monoideism. The word is not so familiar to understand, but the meaning is really interesting. Hypnosis is monoideism. Mono is equal to single, and ideaism means thought or idea. You make people to pay attention to an idea so intensely that their conscious mind does not analyze and their unconscious mind accepts the idea, thought, or opinion effortlessly. Conversational hypnosis is a set of linguistic invitations to the unconscious. We invite the unconscious mind to take part in what we are discussing. We invite the mind to go deep inside and access helpful emotions and memories, powerful experiences and symbols, empowering stories and understanding. By accessing the resources, the person is much more able to make a choice from a position of resourcefulness and empowerment. Now, conversational hypnosis is an elegant way to communicate with others, especially with their unconscious mind. So conversational hypnosis is just when you communicate with someone, their conscious mind is shut down. So whatever you're presenting, when their conscious mind shuts down, they stop thinking logically and don't— they don't use analytical thinking. And then the unconscious mind accepts it as it is real. And when the unconscious mind accepts it, it actually becomes a reality in their inner world. When there something changes in their inner world, it comes out from their from their behavior into the outer world. So this is how you can bring the change in people. Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care, for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill. Said by Buddha.
