The episode features Melissa Dlugolecki as the host and her best friend and business partner Christina Muccio (Mooch) as the guest. They discuss personal and professional growth, mindset coaching, entrepreneurship, grief, holiday traditions, and strategies for maintaining momentum without waiting for New Year's resolutions. The conversation includes sharing personal stories, business insights, and upcoming challenges and webinars to support listeners in leveling up their lives and businesses.
Hello, friends, and welcome to Grief Guts and Green Smoothies. I am your host, Melissa Dugalecki, and I am so excited to be here with you all to chat about ways in which we can all get through different adversities, challenges, and loss. And how getting outside of our comfort zone and maybe having a green smoothie or two can help us do so. We will cover different topics ranging from interviews to recipes, to sharing my own stories of my grief journey and the loss of my daughter, Layden. Honored to be able to share her light in hopes of helping you spread yours. Now let's dive in. I am so excited to welcome back, by very popular demand, my best friend, business partner, other half, Mooch, also known as Christina Muccio. Mooch has been on the show a couple of times. We have talked about our personal stories, the number 54, how we believe in signs. We've shared a lot about how we built our business move and then more recently, business building tips for those seeking to create their own brand or build their own brand. I am beyond excited to have her back on the show to share her energy, her light, her wisdom with all of you. If you are interested in leveling up personally or leveling up professionally, this episode is definitely for you. So let's dive right on in. All right, Mooj, welcome back.
Hello, everyone. Pleasure to be here.
So you are no stranger to grief guts and green smoothies. You've been here since the start and, you know, obviously, no surprise, we always open the show asking, favorite taco. You've now shared your favorite taco. Of course, our shout out to Stacy, Right?
Yep. Twice this.
But I have to ask, since our last interview, have you had any new tacos that are at least up there?
I had. God, where was I? I had an avocado taco that was very delicious. It was up on the North Shore and I can't remember the name of it. It's over in Wilmington or Woburn. So this really isn't helping anyone. But I went and I met my mom and my brother there and I had this bomb taco. So I'm all about the veggie taco right now.
Yeah, I had maybe the best buffalo cauliflower taco I've ever had.
I was in Philly.
Yeah, guys, I gotta be honest, Philly's food game is stepping up.
Everyone's migrating over from New York.
Yeah, it is quite a few steps up from Boston if you're plant based. But all right, onto our show. Enough about tacos. Thank you guys for tuning in. We have got Some really exciting stuff today that we want to share. And it's all around the theme and the ide of leveling up. And so often we think about leveling up and we think about studying these big intentions and goals in January, right? In the start of a new year. Here we are, rounding out November, and we want to talk to you about not waiting until January to level up. And there are just so many reasons to do that and so much if somebody is sitting here wondering, well, I was kind of just going to, like, throw in the towel, do my holiday thing, let this go, let that go. I'll start in January. Like, what would you say to them? How would you help them understand how that can hurt them?
Yeah, well, I think first and foremost, like, we're going to definitely hit on traditions later, but I think that's almost like a tradition. It's like people sense the holidays coming and all this work and all this energy that they've dished into leveling up personally, professionally, in the gym, in the kitchen, whatever it is, they kind of just throw it out the window. And, you know, as. As we coach women on this whole mentality of, like, being completely in or completely out or on or off track, it's like, it's crazy to see how much we actually just let go of and thinking that, okay, we have 50 days, like, it's the holidays. I'll just start in January. So I think as you guys are approaching kind of this holiday mindset, know that, you know, it doesn't need to be all in or out. Like, there can be some meals or some days or some workouts that, you know, yeah, sure, you go 60% and just keeping that. That mentality of, like, you know, every single opportunity you have to start every single day doesn't need to be wrapped into, you know, this holiday season and throwing it all out the window.
Yeah. And I love how you brought up that idea of kind of the gray. Right. Which we talk a lot about being the gray. And, you know, we've talked about it. I was very much. And last week's episode was all about traditions. Right. And just, you know, evaluating what tradition actually means. But I was all about doing all the traditions. And it wasn't until losing Layden, when those traditions I had to reevaluate, like, what does this mean? Right. Because the holidays were unbearable. And I think for so many people, what might get in the way is what you just alluded to. Like, us and our social circles and our norms and our families say, like, oh, just wait until January and so it's almost this feeling of like, well, how do I start now if people around me are waiting until January or they're gonna think like I'm, you know, being better than them or high maintenance or whatever, it may be like, you know, for the person struggling with that, like, what do they do?
Yeah, yeah. I think it's so common and we see it in a lot of women that we coach too, is, you know, especially as you are around family and food and traditions. Kind of like what, you know, Melissa alluded to, I think it's just honestly like it's sticking to your goals and it's understanding like what you want to achieve and really like holding tight onto that. I think there's, you know, this idea of living in the gray and, you know, enjoying some of these traditions and being able to really just commit to yourself instead of all these other traditions. And so I think just like holding your ground and being so confident in what you're doing and comfortable in what you're doing as traditions unfold and giving.
Yourself permission to say, what do I need to feel my best? Right. What do I need to feel my best? And people who love us and support us, they're not going to be stopping you from feeling your best if they try to. It's not about you. Right. It's about them and their own needs. And that's okay. Like be a non judgmental, loving way for them to kind of like figure out what they want and need. But just encourage you, like, as you go through this season and into the new decade. Right. Don't keep yourself small. Don't play small for anyone else's comfort. Don't tiptoe around what you want or need because you're concerned about how that's gonna make others feel. As long as you are honest and you are respectful and you are coming from a place of love, you know, there's nothing to apologize for.
Yeah. And I think just be like cautious around what you're listening to, who you're listening to, what media you're listening to, social media, tv, like all of these ads and these, you know, we talk about billion dollar companies all the time. It's like it's a mentality that they're trying to put into the people watching and listening and so just being really aware of, you know, what you're choosing to listen to and really take into account through the holiday season.
Yeah, I love that. And so as we chat, leveling up, we are talking about it both professionally and personally and oh yeah, baby, yeah, One of the things that. Not shocking, but I think almost more confirming. Right. Or affirming of everything that we teach and coach, the way that it just segues. Right. And it parallels and we've been talking about this a lot between both our professional and our personal world. Right. Our professional and personal endeavors. And so as we've built Move and relaunched, the course focused on Mind, Body and Belly.
Yep.
And now 90 days CEO, which is coaching for current and aspiring entrepreneurs. What parallels have you seen? And like, how is that affirmed for you? Everything we do and what you believe in?
It's so crazy. And I, I don't think. And you can speak to this too. I think when we started 90 Day CEO, I didn't really think that there would be too many parallels to kind of this mindset of like making changes and taking risks. And now that I'm listening and I'm seeing what, you know, some of these entrepreneurs and some of these women that we're coaching, Mind, Body, Belly, on what they're going through, it's, it's so similar and it's just starting. Right. We always, you know, encourage people to just start and not to wait because, you know, another day goes by that you're not feeling your best, another day goes by that you're not working towards building your dreams. It's almost like you're holding yourself back. And so it's this idea of not waiting and, you know, finding a line between not being impulsive but just being like really confident and being able to take a risk that's going to create some change for you.
Yeah. And in doing that, I found. I don't know about you, Mooch, but I found it's almost easier for people to understand it in business and investing in themselves because they can see like a financial exchange. Right. If they invest X amount of dollars, they can get X amount back. And that's a hard thing to kind of detach from.
Yeah. But it's super tangible. Right. Like we grow up getting allowances and grow up getting paid for chores and like, I think the best way and you use this analogy all the time and I love it because our women can connect to it when they're going through Mind, Body, Belly. It's like your gut is essentially like your bank account. And I think the second that people can grab onto something that's a little bit more tangible, it makes it, you know, easier to understand like what they're actually doing on a day to day basis.
It's all just energy exchanges and we say that all the time. And it's really intangible. So if you're listening to this and you're like, I don't get it, please know there was a time like we didn't get it, I didn't understand it. But food is an energy source, money is an energy source. Love, attention, those are energy sources. Your thoughts are energy sources. And so it's not just about one energy source. It's really understanding value. Right. And what energy source are you bringing to something to get value in another one? And so whether it's your mind, body and belly, like you can't put a price tag on being able to sleep again at night. You can't put a price tag on like being confident because you finally feel empowered around your food or your skin or just knowing how to care for your body. You can't put a price tag on that.
No, absolutely not. And then you have the entrepreneur mindset where it is kind of that financial energy exchange and it is a little bit more tangible. But we're seeing the energies that are attached to these values. The women who can now go work out and not have to put makeup on to go work out, they're feeling and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm seeing kind of like their wins being very similar to an entrepreneur, like going to sell their first product. And so it is, it really is just about that energy and empowerment essentially.
Yeah, it's so great. And you know, the wins are so amazing. Like people feeling more confident, prepared to be with their in laws or holiday holidays. Those are the conversations. Right. Or feeling prepared and ready to be around that temptation to just say, forget it, I'll start in January. So I'm going to have, you know, 12 pieces of pie right now and you know, and then I'm going to feel terrible about myself and getting out of that. And same thing with, in that entrepreneur space of, you know, I'm going to, I'm going to wait or when my website's perfect or when that's perfect, then I'm going to start or when I have the capital to invest, that's when I'm going to. We hear that so often.
And that is like the perfect parallel.
Right?
And I love that you connected the two because I think it is hard to see when you're, you know, looking in and trying to not necessarily compare but just see like where the parallels are. It really, really is like this do not wait mentality.
And so just to kind of put a little ribbon on this though, can we ever fully put a ribbon on something, you know, the not wait thing. And this is what we really want to talk about. Not waiting until January, not waiting until 2020. In both fields, right? In both realms, if you are waiting for, you know, to feel better in your mind and your body and your belly, that's all that time lost. Now, time is a major energy source. Huge, right? So it's all that time lost and actually putting momentum in a direction away from feeling your best. So you're actually kind of going into debt because it's going to take you that much longer to begin to feel better. And the more you kind of go in the other direction, the harder it is to be pull out. And that's why we say just one step at a time professionally, if you know that you're going to build a business and a brand, if you know you have one that you want to scale. The longer you wait to trust yourself enough to take action, the more time that you're losing in potential sales and an impact.
Yeah, yeah. And just like creation, right?
Like, yeah.
I think when people are starting their business, that's almost like the sweet spot, right? Like, you have all these ideas, you're probably dipping your toes into your current job. You have a bunch of different circles that you can leverage and really use to help grow and create something that is, you know, deliverable. And so I think that, you know, I remember going back to when I was working a 9 to 5 and thinking like, oh, you know what? I'm just gonna wait to become a fitness instructor and like, wait to do like a side hobby that I really wanted to do and wait to personal train. And I was like, wait a second. I have all these outlets. I have all these people that I can, you know, learn from and grow with and inspire and be inspired by. So I had all these little circles and like, that's what I see as entrepreneurship. Like, when you have your toes in a bunch of different things, you can leverage, you know, your experiences in all those different areas. So, yeah, don't wait for your website. Your logo is going to change a million other times. Like, just go.
So speaking of leveling up, we want to encourage and inspire other people to do that. We're not the type to just like, say, like, we are action, right? We're that balance of thought, action, reflection. Ayurveda here. How do you feel like in this past year you've been able to level up personally and professionally?
It's funny, we were talking about this before this podcast, and when you become an entrepreneur, it's like Those lines are really blurred. Right. Like, you live your business, your business, you know, lives inside of you. And so there's been so much growth over the past even six months with growing 90 day CEO, getting completely outside of our comfort zones, growing, relaunch, hiring teammates. Personally, it's like stepping back from, you know, what I thought my schedule needed to be in terms of like teaching classes and, you know, going from working move 90 hours a week to actually having family dinners on Sunday again, like, it really has transformed. And I encourage like all the entrepreneurs out there to really look at like how your personal and your professional intertwine. I think it's really interesting to see how both can grow together to create more impact.
So it sounds like, like really teasing out for you has been huge this year. Yeah, I mean, I've seen it. But like, for you to identify too, like, I love it. It's like that idea of it doesn't have to be a struggle to succeed.
Yeah. I was talking to someone a couple days ago about her business. She's been in business for a year and she's like, mooch, I left this job and all I did was I lost my benefits, I lost the amount of money I was getting paid, and all I did was create myself a job. She's like, my job is running me. I'm not running my job yet. I'm not running my business yet. And so like, I was thinking back to when we started move, and this was way before we invested in ourselves and in our business, but just kind of that feeling of like treading in water and creating this job that, you know you're making an amazing impact and it's your passion and you love it, but in terms of the output, it's so much greater. So I feel like that, you know, over the past year has been a huge transformation.
Yeah. That trust and that letting go of that almost societal pressure to struggle to succeed. Right. Or we're only worthy of success if we struggle.
Right. Like, oh, you're not burnt out. You must not be working hard enough.
Oh, it's so huge. I mean, that was a huge reason that I had a hard time in the culture I was in previously. Right. I think education really can lend itself to that. Like, if you're not, it was, you know, almost a badge of honor. Right. To be burned out. Like.
Yeah. Because you're serving.
Because then you're serving others. Right. And if you're not burned out, well, then you must not be serving. And it's so backwards. If you're feeling that like, honestly, reach out. We can give you some strategies around it because that doesn't have to be your story. And in fact, going back to the bank account, that's the case for your bouncing checks. Like, you have nothing to give. And so you've got to learn, like said, like, where to invest in yourself, whether it's time of family dinners on Sunday or whether it's in getting somebody to coach you on what to do to level up. So you're not just blindly spending time or money doing things, but you're being really thoughtful and strategic so that you have more to receive and then more to give.
Yeah.
So we've got. You want to tell them about some travels we've been doing?
Oh, my goodness. I feel like we've been all around the world, AKA the country. But we were out in San Diego beginning of October for an amazing, amazing event. We got to coach at a Mastermind, talk about business building, community building. We attended this Mastermind by Angie Lee. It was like this big, amazing conference. 1500 people. What was your favorite part about that?
That's a hard one, I think, seeing because as we were there, you know, a little bit further ahead, you know, a lot further ahead of most of the people there. And we were teaching at the Mastermind, you know, that was attending that event as well, I think seeing so many entrepreneurs believe in themselves.
Yeah. Like, going for it.
So many going for it. And so many scared and excited and crying and laughing. Like, just witnessing that and remembering that, for me, it just, like, I just got goosebumps saying it. Me, too. Yeah.
On my shins.
And the tacos we had were pretty good.
The tacos were bomb.
What was your favorite part of that?
I loved kind of like what you said. Just like, seeing where we're at in our business and seeing like that was us.
Right.
Like, we were there. I think another really amazing thing. And if you guys haven't checked out any, like, breathing, healing. We had this experience. It's called pause. Sam Skelly was running it. Amazing, amazing experience of, like I said, 1500 people sitting shoulder to shoulder in all these seats, doing these breath patterns that were, like, pun intended, like, breathtaking. Women bawling at the end. I was sobbing. I looked at Melissa, she was sobbing. I looked at, you know, people sitting next to me. We were all hugging. Like, that was a really cool experience. But I really do think just like, seeing kind of. It's almost like a flashback of, like, where we were and where we are now and really seeing, like, the growth that we've been able to accomplish.
Yeah.
Later in October, we went to Long Island. First time to Long Island. We got to take the ferry. We brought a hot plate to make our matcha. It was awesome. But we went to another Mastermind. It was a two day event hosted by Gerard Adams, which we are flying out later today. You guys are going to hear this. You'll probably hear it after. We're already out in la, but got to experience, you know, again, entrepreneurs growing their businesses. We're now asked to coach at this one in la. So we're heading out to LA later on this, this afternoon for another incredible two day experience.
And I think thinking about it like my favorite part of that master, I'm looking forward to the most, that same thing. Just helping people with, you know, skills and with passions and with ideas and with gifts that they want to serve into this world and they're finding the courage to break free of that fear and to invest in themselves and to go for it and to be able to help them do that. Like, I'm so excited for that.
Me too. And I think even like from a micro level of like courage and risk, it's like we're all sitting in a room, right? People are asking questions that, you know, are. They might like feel silly asking them or feel like, okay, do I, you know, do I even ask this question? I don't know the answer, do I ask this question? And it's like that kind of risk I really love seeing too because you have all these brains in the room, whether you're a million dollar business or you're making a thousand dollars a week or you know, $10 a day, like whatever it is, it's all. And all this creativity coming together and it's like taking the risk of asking a question even from a micro level, which I really enjoy.
Yeah. And that's something we talk about again, bringing it full circle professionally and personally. Like asking those questions, take that scary step, like trust that you are worth it. And I think that's the big thing at the root of whether it's somebody pursuing their professional or their personal dreams and goals. Really a lot of freedom, right. Of expression, of authenticity, of like doing what they feel like they're meant to do and living how they feel like they're meant to live, but trusting that you're worth it to do it.
Yeah.
Because you are 100%.
And sometimes you just need the little push, like someone telling you like, hey, hello, you're worth it. Like if you're listening right now, you're freaking Worth it like you are.
Yeah. And there's something that brought you here to hear that. So go write it down.
Yeah. Put it on a shirt.
All right. And so we've got a couple of things coming up now. If you're tuning into this, you would have to catch the replay. But to help people level up, we want to offer support to do so professionally and personally. So fill everyone in on what we're doing professionally to do that.
Yep. We are hosting our first ever free live business webinar, which is really, really amazing. We've gotten some amazing feedback already. Bunch of people that, you know are interested in business all the way through. People who are already running five six figure businesses, which is really, really great. We're going to be covering four strategies on business. We're going to hit three mistakes that we made to try and help you save a few of those steps and then action steps, taking two really big action steps to help you move forward and grow.
Yeah, we're really excited about that. Again, it's just a free way to offer value. And if this is something that resonates with you, we can get you the playback.
Yep.
So you can just reach out, you can go to movewithmm.com and if you sign up, you can hit 90 days CEO, sign up there for our email list and then shoot us an email and we will be so happy to get you over a playback of that free webinar if you missed it.
Yeah, absolutely. Word on the street is we might be doing a series as well if there's some type of, you know, interest in doing another one of these. Depending on how it goes, what people want to hear more about, I think it could be a really fun way to just like connect with like minded people.
And much has like insider information on those words on the street. Marketing man, in terms of personally, we said, how are we going to help people? Like, our mission is to support you and not waiting until January, like, please don't wait. And so we said, all right, we're not just going to say this at nauseam. What can we do?
I think there's a lot of pressure around starting in January, which is what I want to hit on first is like living, living, living, living. And then January 1st hits and it's like you're flipping your world upside down and trying to create all these new habits. That's not how it works. Right. Like you don't go to the gym once and you're suddenly walking out with an eight pack. You could squat your heaviest weight and you could Run a four minute mile. Like, that's not how it works. And so thinking of ways that you can implement one thing a day, something super simple that's going to help you progress through the holiday season. Maybe it's waking up earlier and drinking a full glass of water, sitting in silence to have your cup of coffee. Maybe it's something like meditating. Five minutes a day to start, right? It's implementing these little tiny habits. And this is how we coach too, right? Like if I were to say, you know, if you were to say, mooch, I need a new workout program, I'm not going to make you go run 10 miles your first day. That's just not how it works. And that's how habit building works as well. So, like, don't try to force everything in on one January 1st day. Like, that's why by February 1st, most of those habits don't become habits. We put way too much pressure on ourselves.
I think also what makes January become so intimidating, right? It's like we're intimidated by a date. Like, it's just a date and we.
Hype ourselves up so much that like you could probably find yourself on December 30th and 31st housing a full piece of pizza or whole pizza, right? Because you're like, don't worry, January 1st, I'm not eating cheese, I'm not having bread. Drinking alcohol for an entire month, like whatever it is.
And that messes up your mind.
It is a mind fuck.
That's like the Sunday scaries on steroids.
Oh God, the January scary.
So it's scary. So what are we doing to help everyone?
We're not going to use New Year, New Me.
No, it's the same you.
It is the same exact you. Maybe it's a different version. Great. But get away from that. That saying, don't listen to that marketing. I think that's one of my biggest pieces of advice. Next piece of advice. We are hosting a challenge to help support everyone through the holiday season. Again, little tiny changes that you can make. It's going to be focused on mind, body and belly to get you through the holidays, which we are really, really excited about. It's starting December 2nd. Yes. We're starting on a Monday, which mixed feelings about it. Mixed feelings about it. But we did a poll just kind of how it worked out.
And so we're willing to meet everyone halfway. That's fine.
We are.
And so once you register and sign up for that, you'll be getting some information and we'll be sharing some stuff around Thanksgiving to support you through that as well. So this isn't a. Well, I'll start right after Thanksgiving. It will start December 2nd and it's going to go for 30 days. So we're going to get you through that new year, but not a new you. Right. It's going to be you leveling up and building momentum. So instead of thinking of it as starting over, you're just creating momentum.
Yeah.
Right. You're just creating momentum in the direction you want to go. And this doesn't mean that you're not indulging in your favorite foods or drinks or whatever it may be. Right.
You definitely can find me sipping wine on Christmas Eve.
Oh, yes.
But no, it is. Yeah, exactly. And it is all about the balance and creating these habits to make you feel your best and to help you level up. So we are super excited about that. We haven't done a 30 day challenge like this one before, so we are really excited to see the feedback and the community kind of build itself around leveling up.
Okay. So this challenge, as much said, we have never done one like this before. And it is going to take concepts of mind, body and belly. It is going to have strategies to help you through the holiday season so that when you are tempted to say, I'm throwing in the towel until January, like you have resources to turn to. It's going to give you community support and accountability. So again, when you're like feeling alone or isolated, you have a place to turn. It's going to offer workouts and fitness support so that you can work it around the holidays instead of having it all on or all off. And also ways that you can help yourself in terms of maybe allowing some of your favorite recipes to be a little bit gut friendly.
Yes.
You know, healthier versions, whether it's refined, sugar free or dairy free or just different things for food sensitivities or optimizing gut health, but then also making sure that you feel permission and no guilt around having the things that you do love. Because there's value to that.
Yeah. And the way that we see it and holidays, it's like that's the time for connection and love and. And creating memories. And so if we're feeling supported in a way that we can enjoy that without having to worry about food and drink and all of that, pour your energy into making those memories and those connections.
Yeah. Because at the end of the day, so much of what we focus on is what we eat and drink.
Yeah.
Which is important too. Right? That's part of it. But really what everyone cares about and what I believe we associate with, like success or not success or feeling good is the way we connect with people.
Yeah.
Right. The way we make eye contact, the way we're present, the way we share love.
Yeah. You know, I can't wait to hear my grandmother's stories.
That's all I can say. So if you want to learn more about that, again, you can scope out our website, movewithmm.com.
Yep.
Also follow us on Instagram. We share a lot of stuff on there.
Yeah. Move withmm. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur or a current entrepreneur entrepreneur, you can also find us at 90 days CEO.
Yeah. And we're going to host a lot of this through our Facebook group.
Yep.
So you'll be able to enroll in this online.
Online. Yep. Right. On our website. And then basically communicating all through our Facebook group. So if you're not in our Facebook group, it's move with Mooch and Mel on Facebook. You can join that group. We're going to get a hashtag started. You guys can introduce yourself to the community. But it's just a way to, you know, hold some accountability to each other as well.
All right. So many great spots, so many good spots. And it just, it means so much for us to share value.
Yeah. And to connect. Like, we love hearing from, you know, people who are interested in learning more about mind, body, belly, what they're experiencing, what they're scared of. Right. Like, I just got a message the other day about Thanksgiving and having to run a 10 mile, you know, race before she goes and spends time with her family. Like, that's this type of stuff and the type of conversations that we love to have. So any questions, any concerns, any fears, any goals, like, please, please, we'd love to connect on those things.
Yeah. All right. It's always so great to have you on here.
I am just live. I am just honored to be here.
I know time always flies. You would think with all the hours we spend together, it wouldn't go by so quickly.
I better get reimbursed for commute.
We can expense that. We can expense that. Let's wrap it up here. I think favorite holiday tradition would be a nice way to kind of wrap this up.
Oh, boy. And it's funny, we were talking about traditions and Melissa's last podcast around traditions and how much mine have shifted with my dad being sick and what we used to do and where we were able to go when he was in a wheelchair or whatever it may be. But one holiday tradition that has always, always st is Christmas Eve and doing the seven fishes. My dad's mom, so my grandmother on my dad's side used to throw the best parties. Like, the best. And my dad was an only child, so his best friends became like brothers. And so they would throw this mess. I think it was the first time I ever saw my parents get drunk was at the Christmas Eve party. And it was, you know, my grandparents would do all the seven fishes. And now it's like my brothers kind of holding up this tradition. And he does all the cooking. One year we did it with sushi because we just, like, didn't have the time. It's just like, you make it happen, but creating these connections. Not necessarily. Like, the tradition has to be the same, but you know, how you connect and how you share can be.
Yeah, I love that. It's so hard to pick a favorite tradition, I think. Okay, so I'm going to share two because one of them has been always my favorite since I was younger and since losing Leiden, it's actually been hard to continue. But building a new tradition has been something that's been really helpful. So my favorite tradition is on Thanksgiving. It's just my family at my mom's house. So it's my mom, my dad, and my brothers. And we sit around the table for hours, just hours, talking. And we go around and we all say what we're grateful for. We sit and we talk for a while, and then we watch family videos. The best. It's the best. I think you got, like, highlight reels. My brother was doing Backstreet Boys last year, and I love it because I just. I love remembering those moments from when we were younger. I love how excited my dad gets. Like, he pre watches the videos and then picks the spots he wants us to watch. So he's not like, having us in front of the TV forever. But it means, like, a lot for him. Like, he puts a lot of time into going and actually watching these. And it's just. It's so simple. There's just so much love. Right. And there's no pressure. You know, we're not entertaining anyone. We're not rushing anywhere. And so that is absolutely my favorite holiday tradition. And a newer tradition has become. Which you participated in last year.
Yes.
Decorating Laden the tree. Yeah. So if you haven't heard the story of the tree in the public garden, it is on one of the earlier episodes. It is a funny story. In hindsight, the time it was not. Long story short, I tried borrowing somebody else's tree.
Basically burnt the city of Boston down because the tree was cut.
Because, of course, Laden's tree that we borrowed would be one that was cut. I stood in a little bit of victimization for a minute, got myself out. But thanks to that challenge, we now have our own tree with Leyden's plaque. And it is the only decorated tree in the Boston Public Garden that's not, like, officially decorated by the rec department. It is decorated by my family. And Mooch. There's something about watching, you know, my brothers put up the lights, and we put up, like, little battery operated lights and big ornaments, and, I don't know, it's like, their way of taking care of Leyden.
Yeah.
And I love just having her light physically shine and then just thinking of people walking by, like, smiling when they see it. And that's just my favorite.
Yeah. We brought a bottle of wine last year.
We did bring a bottle.
Bubba was there rolling. Bubba loves Leighton's tree. There's something about it.
Yeah, he knows.
No, I love that, though. I love that. So amazing.
All right, everyone. We are wishing you from Moo the very best holiday season.
The very best.
Don't wait till January.
Don't do it.
Level up. We're so excited for you, professionally and personally. Anyways, we can support you. Let us know. And keep moving.
Keep moving. Bye, guys.
Isn't Mooch the best? I am so grateful every day that the universe joined our forces, joined our energies, and that we somehow ended up crossing paths in the most convoluted ways. And I share that, and I remind you of that, because just keep your eyes open. Right. If somebody's energy resonates with you, like, lean into that. Mooch and I started everything we're doing now just by reaching out via Instagram and then getting a cup of coffee or tea or whatever it was and then talking a little bit more. So reach out. Connect, like, learn. Ask others for help, Ask others for advice. And if there are any ways that I or we can support you on your journey, it is our absolute pleasure to do so. Thanks for tuning in, and we will talk soon.
