Flow Over Force: Jilly Torrez on Feminine Leadership and Wealth
30 Sept 2025 · 60 min
Jilly Heires discusses her "water codes" framework, which treats the body's water as a record of emotional memory and a guide for feminine leadership. She built multiple seven-figure businesses by aligning with her 28-day hormonal cycle instead of the 24-hour masculine rhythm, and resolved ovarian cysts through water practices and five years of celibacy as an energetic boundary.
Questions this episode answers
Feminine: 28-day cycle; Testosterone: 24-hour cycle.
About five years.
She has built multiple seven-figure businesses and runs a global team.
She mentions it will be over 400 pages (around 400+ pages).
I started realizing how codependent I really was on men. And it really required me to step into that part of me. Strone hormonally is a 24 hour cycle. Right. The feminine is a 28 day cycle. I would ask you the same thing, like, would you even be able to travel and do all the things that you're doing without your health? I actually physically felt more present and I felt more intentional.
Well, Julie, thank you so much for coming on scar tissue. And as we're relaunching this, just really bringing in people who align so deeply with the mission, who embody it. And it's interesting because. And I'm goosebumps already. It's always like, remember our first meeting?
Water body.
That's my water body. Remember, like our first meeting in the cafe? I was like, go, go, go, go. I was like, we're doing big things, girl. I don't know what they're going to be.
Yeah.
Anyways, you had. And I'm excited to get into your story because it's just absolutely amazing, inspiring, powerful and authentic. Right? And that's what we seek to represent here and to share into the world. But you have a lot of stories around scar tissue too. And I remember when I told you that was the name of my book and my podcast, you sent me like a voice note kind of talking about the depths of that and the meaning, and I was like, damn, you have codes on codes on codes, girl. And so just, you know, I. We can get into your credentials. You have built, you know, multiple seven figure business from scratch. You have a global team. You're an international speaker, like, and for me, goosebumps that it's. It's so important, but it's a byproduct of who you be and how you show up. And so I always like to start with the who you be. So thank you for who you be, thank you for what you do, and thank you for sharing your magic here on scar tissue.
Thank you. It's an honor to be here. I'm so excited to talk about bring the water codes into everything, you know.
So let's just assume someone listening is like, what are water codes? Yeah, what's she talking about? Let the people know.
So when you told me what scar tissue was, right. I see the meaning behind everything, I'm like, wow, that's such a deep purpose and, and witnessing you interweave that into what you're doing. It's always in the words that show me the water codes. So within everything that I've built, every Piece of my business is centered around water. Whether that be water, literally like the liquid form of water, or water analogies and water teachings that I apply into a other places of my life. And so when you're talking about scar tissue, well, what is that right when you. When you cut yourself or you go through a trauma or something hard happens, you're cut, the wound is open. Well, the blood on the inside is blue. Right when it hits the atmosphere, it turns red. That's a water coat. Because your blood is 90% water. Right. Plasma is the fourth phase of water. If you're into the water and you're listening to this, you probably know about the fourth phase of water. It's just this phase of water that's inside of our body, that's structured. And so for me, my whole journey, because we both have health backgrounds, I was very fascinated with the water in the body, like, physical water in the body. And what happens when you get cut over time, that heals. Your skin is 90% water as well. And it starts to heal, but it brings scar tissue. And so that scar tissue around it starts to clump up in your fascia. And a lot of the time, shout out to everybody who does bodywork, massage therapists. I've learned so, so much from my clients. What happens in the fascia is that scar tissue is held, and the stories around what happened are held in the scar tissue. And so a lot of the time within the scar tissue. If you're ever getting bodywork done, like, and you. Let's say you had a cut there as a child or something, there's most likely some stories there stored in your fascia. So a water code here is that water stores memory. So when you're talking about scar tissue, I'm like, wow, you're, like, really helping people go to that place and look at, okay, where was I at in my life when this happened? What stores could my waters in my body be holding in that scar tissue? And how do we release that scar tissue? So quite literally, my clients who are bodyworkers will help their clients get rid of scar tissue by working through it. And when you're working with the fascia, there's something really interesting where the. Some people, I don't know how you like massages, but, like, sometimes I like deep teachers get in there, let me breathe. You know, I'm like, go. And then other times, I'm like, just going through a lot. Yes, gentle, gentle. And that's a water coat. Because the fascia, when we go through hard things, the fascia actually tenses up. And what happens in our water body, inside the nervous system, we get into this sympathetic state, right? Stress, fight or flight. And our fascia literally armors itself. And so our bodies, the waters in our bodies, literally protect ourselves. And people are walking around like that. And so the secret to fascia. And I gotta shout out my client Maddie, because she, like, brings in all these codes. I'm like, I wanna be a body worker someday. She's like, you know, it's not about going in hard, the fascia. It's actually about soft, fat, soft at first, so that the waters can release and open up. And then you can go to the deep scar tissue, then you can get to the depth. And so that's just a very simple example of a water code as it relates to what we're talking about. But other water codes might be, you know, how to be a watering woman. I'm all about being a watering woman. A woman who's able to adapt, who's able to flow, who's able to know that water always knows the way. And even though I don't know where I'm going half the time, I'm like, I know I'm going to get there because I am water and I flow. So those are just some examples of the. How deep the water codes go.
It's so powerful. And I, you know, it's in. He said a lot of things. I'm like, oh, oh, that, that. But I remember a former version of Melissa who was not in her healthy feminine and was in survival more in the masculine. And when I would get massages, I always wanted it to be as intense as possible because I associated more in intensity with the value. Dude, right?
This is.
Now I'm like, yeah. Now I'm like. But you learn that more isn't always more valuable and more intense isn't always the way. And so when you said that, I flashback to that version of me laying on the massage table thinking, okay, I paid for this. Can you go a little deeper? You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And now I would never.
Well, if you think about it, we're desensitized when we go through trauma, you know, like, I can 100 admit when I'm overly masculine. It's like you kind of just like, turn off everything and numb out and disassociate. And then you just bulldoze and you're just like, in this state of, like, getting things done. Yes, hustle, hustle. But then you start to desensitize yourself to things. So then you Actually need more stimulation and you need harder things. My whole journey, like, really coming into my feminine in the water was like, oh, let me actually teach myself how to be sensitive again, how to actually use somatic therapy where I'm just rubbing my arms, or when I need to put my hand on my chest, I put my hand on my chest. And even though they seem like very small things, that's how I healed from sexual trauma, because my body was so disassociated beforehand, and it was crazy when I started doing it. And there's different methods of putting your hand on the back of your neck, and this actually relaxes your vagus nerve, which helps your hormones, which are released in your bloodstream. And your blood is 90% water. Like, it's all about the water. I actually physically felt more present and I felt more intentional. And I started catching things in my business where I think I was just bulldozing before.
Hundred percent.
I'm like, whoa, I missed it before. And I was actually making more work for myself instead of slowing down and being intentional. So I want another one of my clients. Her husband's in the. He's a first responder. And she shared this drop with me. And, like, my word for download or revelation is like, drop. So it's like a code. Right. And she shared this drop with me. Shout out, Alexis. And it's slow is smooth and smooth is fast. And our perception of slow is so linear. Like, I find that people think, oh, my gosh, slow. Like, you're taking forever, you're lazy. You're just mo. Slow is, like, almost like heavy.
Yeah.
And I. And when you look at our perception, it's kind of like depth perception. When we look at the feminine, we're perceiving it as, like, heavy or like, you're perceiving slow as heavy. Maybe that's because you're perceiving the feminine as heavy. Because some people perceive the feminine as, like, oh, she's just there for everybody, and everybody emotionally dumps onto her. If we're in our feminine, then people will perceive us as too soft and they'll use us, so they perceive it as heavy. And what I find really interesting is that I changed my perception of heavy, of the feminine being heavy to light.
Oh, yeah.
And then it's like slow started changing so slow. Wasn't this heavy lazy slow? It was. No, the slowness is actually me being detailed and intentional with everything that I do, which makes everything smooth, which makes things fast.
Right, Right. It's so good. Yeah. And for, you know, I Just want to hit for anyone. Listen just briefly if they're like masculine, feminine, because not. I mean, these are like languages we speak. Right, right. And you know, it's. I just want to drive home. This is not gender specific.
Oh, yeah.
We all embody and need to embody the duality. We all flex into different spots. And I really resonated when you said like bulldozing. And I think actually when we're in that state of bulldozing, we actually can create way more work for ourselves.
Oh my gosh.
Like so much more work. But let's talk about, you know, we have a lot of similarities. You know, like, we have these. It's so interesting. We both run really big teams. We've both built seven figure businesses organically. We're both publishing books, you know. Yeah. We're both speaking on stages and we're both navigating journeys and we kind of like have our own and we like crossover and you know, have these points of relatability. But let's speak into a little bit about what it's like to be a woman in entrepreneurship in a couple of ways. Like one just, I don't know, maybe some of the assumptions people make or the challenges we face. But I think also. And we can revisit this if we need to split it up because it might be, you know, I'm like throwing it at you.
Yeah.
But for me, leading a team and being the person that like really kind of drives that vision forward. I, in my personal life want to double down on the feminine and the softness and the quiet and that surrender and understanding. That doesn't mean you're not productive. I think that's very important. Right. That was a misconception I had. But like, how do we bring into harmony our masculine and feminine when our work might require us? Now our work's a bit different and you've really mastered the feminine of passive revenue. Which we'll get into later. Right, we'll get into that later. But just speaking into, you know, what it's like being a woman, high performing, seven figure, you know, in our industries. And then how do we balance that masculine and feminine when we are driving so much forward?
Wow. I love how you differentiated in the beginning. Like it. We weren't being gender specific in the masculine, feminine conversation. Because now we're getting into the gender specific conversation.
Yeah, yeah.
And being a woman. So put simply, very early on, when I was younger starting my business, I mean, I was raised with a single mother. You know, she was like, you could do whatever you Want. I was raised on a ranch. I'm super tomboy. Growing up, like, I will get in the dirt. I. I just. I was like, cutting frogs. Yeah, frogs are my favorite animal. It's like, it. I had that piece of me that grew up with brothers as well. And I know you grew up with brothers, so I just. I get it. Like, I get. I get it. But what was interesting for me was when I got into business and I actually started teaching and I started about two years in actually presenting in front of groups of people that could be 10 people. I did 50 people, 100 people. And I was like 23, 24 years old. And what I quickly noticed was this story that I had coming from a single mother. A lot of what gets handed down is this hyper independence, right? And what was interesting is that the way that it expressed into me that it made me codependent in my early years. So relationship wise, I was always the codependent. Like kind of this. This woman that would do anything that the man wants to do. And I kind of like followed him around. Like, you would think that I would have gotten it different coming from a single mom, overly an offendant. But it explained expressed through me as codependent. So when I got into business, I started realizing how codependent I really was on men. And it really required me to step into that part of me. Granted, at that time, I finally broke up with a narcissistic relationship. And that was like my just. Whole world fell apart. Granted, he was the one who actually got me into the business I am today. So when he left and it was very dramatic, cheating, all of those things, I don't have to get into detail, but it really was like, jilly, you're gonna do this. So I went from one side and I swung to the other side. Dude. And I was like, you know, I'm a Cali girl, so I say dude a lot, but, you know, hear me out. I was so focused on my business, and I was like, this is what I'm gonna have to do. I'm gonna have to be one of the boys. I'm gonna have to dive in. I'm gonna have to take up my space in this space. And I started studying sales, Grant Cardone, you know, all the typical sales teachers. And I found myself rising, but I wasn't getting the success like some of my peers and which were all men, by the way. Like, I worked with all men in the beginning. I'm in high ticket sales, so a lot of the men around me, you know, Middle class white men in Orange County. What else do you need to know? Yeah, and it was like something. It was like my body wouldn't let me succeed their way. So no matter how much I hustled, I was also on Adderall, so diagnosed adhd. About two years into the water path, I got off Adderall. So, like, it was around this time that I was like, okay, I'm getting some success. But, like, I don't know, it just didn't feel authentic. And I. I felt it in my body. It felt like I wasn't being me and that I was trying to be somebody else. And at that time, I was also straightening my hair, trying to be something, and I had this, like, massive real. I don't think this is going to work for me. I don't think this hustle thing, like, is there another way? Like, what other way is there? And. But my heart. And this is. I feel so many of us women, like, it's like, we're so heartfelt and passionate, and it's really hard to let your heart lead. And. But at this point in my career, I was like, obviously, it's not working. I want to get more results. I was mediocre in my results compared to everybody else. And I was just like, all right, I'm going to have to let my heart lead. And through that process, I had to face the overly independent woman that was scared to let people in. It was easier for me to read a sales script than actually connect with somebody. And I was queen of jumping around all these friend groups and communities. And so I started realizing, do I, like, have a hard time letting people in and connecting with people and growing up in a small town, I think we just have this vibe about us that we connect with people, like, very easily. And once I really faced that overly independent part of myself, even though it, like, only lasted maybe a year, maybe two years, I realized that I really need to connect with people. And through me, connecting with people is what launched me. I mean, my business blew up. Everybody was asking me, all the guys were like, what is your secret? And I'm like, I'm literally just connecting.
Oh, that's so good.
I don't know how else to explain it.
Yeah.
And although I gotta give the sales training some credit, closing helped me speak more directly. It helped my communication. It helped me, you know, get some umph in my step. Like, I really needed that masculine support, but it was really about the connection. And that took me to realizing that, okay, I'm going to give my permission to show myself permission to show up as a feminine woman. And I didn't have anybody around me that was like that. All the women that were around me were very much type A. So here I go on this exploration of what this looks like. And I quickly learned as I rose, hit six figures, Hit multiple six figures, hit seven figures. In certain spaces, there are societal norms. You know, men don't necessarily look at you in the eyes all the time. Or there is. There's this one drop that I'll share that really helped me understand the mother wound in men. So what I found in my collaborations a lot of the time with men is that it was like they would treat me or they would emotionally dump onto me. And so I started studying this through, like, a psychology lens because I have this psychology background. Total college dropout. But hey, I got some courses in. And so I started studying the psychology, and a lot of people emotionally dump onto women because women represent the mother. And when you have children, the mother is the safe space. So a child will act perfect all day, hold it in, and as soon as it gets home with the mother, it's going to have the meltdown. Because the mother is the safe space to actually let the emotions out. Yeah. Fall apart.
And.
But once I realized this, I was like, wait, this is actually a superpower. Because people feel my drop is. This is my code that I always share, is that society, society respects men and trusts women, but society does not respect women. Okay. Society doesn't respect women, and society doesn't trust men.
So interesting. And so interesting for you, you know, frame that way, right?
And. And as I started, you know, really wanting to earn respect, and I'm like, how am I going to earn respect in these spaces? I'm like, I'm not going to earn respect. Just like, I don't lead like a man. I don't lead like a man. The feminine leads in a very different way. And so I started to realize this was my superpower, But I need to have boundaries, and I need to be very specific, and I need to be clear and let people know. You need to ask me consent before you do that, or am I even available for you to let me into what you're going through? And a lot of the time, this is how I. I'm actually a power move in a lot of teams that I'm on with men because they can be a certain way with me that they're not letting themselves be in other relationships. And I find that that's where the juices of what will actually make you succeed is what you're actually feeling, not the mask that you're putting on in the corporate whatever the politics that you're trying to go up the ladder. And so I didn't get to where I'm at by going on this stepping political ladder, choosing favorites and playing these games. I'm really not that good at it anyway. I'm not good at schmoozing.
Yeah, yeah.
This is what we call it, schmoozing. Surface level talk. Not very good at it. Kind of awkward.
That's why we get along.
Yeah.
I think right in the beginning, we're like souls, journeys, purposes, karma.
Can we just go there?
Yeah.
And so this is what I always tell the women that I work with. Like, we have to be patient with society, but we also have to remind ourselves that we're all different and that one woman doesn't act the same as another. And so we have to give each other space to come into our feminine. And what I find is that the feminine being the leader in the visionary, that is actually, I call it the mermaid. You know, the mermaid is at the front of the ship for a reason. You know, you see an old ship, there's a mermaid at the front because she can see the way. She knows where she's going. She, she is the water. So she knows the currents to take in the ocean. Just as an analogy, a water analogy to bring in. The woman has the ability to see, to have foresight when she really is connected to God. So it's not, I don't believe in, you know, woman over man or man over woman. It's more of this, hey, let's look at the qualities that we have and let each other lead in the moments that we need. And I love my masculine counterparts. I love asking for help. I love bringing them in to support my vision. And that's how my dynamic usually goes, is being a visionary, allowing myself to communicate that vision and then bringing in my. My men to help and actually asking for help. Right. And being like, hey, I have this vision. I don't know how we're going to get there, but this is what's happening. And then it's like, it just, it's amazing to see it all come together and vice versa. Right. There's a feminine within men as well. And really allowing ourselves to say, if you have a vision, step into it and be that visionary. But holding that torch of leader and visionary has been probably the biggest challenge, I would say, in my journey.
So good, so good. I'm like, woo, yeah. So And I'll edit this part here. If we could try and do, like, shorter blurb so I can pull something out for the listener.
Okay.
Because you have so much knowledge and gold. Yeah. But I want them to be able to process it.
Okay.
Does that make sense? Yes. Okay. Okay. Because it's so good. So I'm trying to think of, like, what I want to.
Okay.
So I'm just gonna wrap that up and, like. And, like, something that I. I heard that I think will really resonate with our women listeners. So, Jilly, that's so much wisdom, experience. And I. I think wisdom is garnered through experience. Right. But one of the themes. Goosebumps. That I heard as you were going through was that you discovered that for you to actually succeed to your next level. So you were successful.
Yeah.
Your seven figures. Okay. On paper, you're successful. But for you to actually, like, explode into your greatest possibility, it was not trying to do it the way that you thought you should or the way other people were doing it or to try to, like, embody what other people are embodying, but to really authentically do it your way. And I think that's like, a ninja level skill.
Jedi. Yeah. Yes.
Total Jedi. I would love. And I want to talk a bit about the health aspect too, you know, and the water. And the water that we're referencing for the listeners is. We'll talk more about it. But it's something that I've really come to love and understand and, like, honestly, working with you, because you started as somebody who now we just work together in every. Every way. Right. I'm a client of yours, you're a client of mine, you know, but when I really kind of started exploring your business and. And your love and understanding of water and how it impacts us, I was like, I. I need this. So I do want to get into that with health. However, a lot of times I work with women who will say, like, you talked about this. Doesn't feel good in my body. Like, my body's not letting me. There's a level of discernment, though, to be able to understand that it's not in alignment versus Your resisting discomfort. And I hear the word alignment weaponized a lot.
Oh, my God, I love this so much.
So how can somebody untangle that? Because a lot of times I'll have someone say, well, that doesn't feel good in my body. Body. And many times it's actually not supposed to when you're on, like, a growth edge because you're. You're doing something uncomfortable. Right. And when we're uncomfortable and we feel vulnerable and it's new, it doesn't feel safe. Right. So how can somebody untangle so they're not let. Like, their ego isn't keeping them small because they're saying, this doesn't feel good. That's a no. How do you know when it doesn't feel good? It's a no. Or it doesn't feel good. That's a yes. Because sometimes it's a yes.
This is so good. And we actually teach this in my water bending course.
Of course you do.
So we call it water body discernment. Okay. The process in your fascia is very similar feeling when you are expanding to when you aren't meant to do something. So you're gonna feel that contraction. You're gonna feel the. The stickiness. This is uncomfortable. And so water body discernment says, let me give you an example. So many of my clients are like. Especially when they come from the overly independent woman. They're like, I just need rest. Yeah, I just need rest. I need to rest. And I'm like, okay, now you're weaponizing rest.
Yes.
And now how do you know the difference between laziness and actually needing rest?
Go on.
So. So this was. The thing is that just like the Bible says, we have to die to our flesh. And I really sat with that in my own, you know, beliefs and system of like. But if we're supposed to trust our bodies, but then die to our flesh.
Yeah.
How does this make sense? Right? And then it's like, everybody's just like, trust your body. Let your body lead. And I'm like, yeah, but if you're over here eating Cheetos and being, like, really lustful and gluttonous, then your body, how are you supposed to listen to your body? So there's a process of detox. There's a process of cleansing. There's a process of fasting. There's a process of really. That I had to go through within my own water path journey of just really getting clean and clear in that way. And I always recommend to people, like, fast for a day. Go into prayer, fast for a day, if you really want an answer. Because the flesh, and this is actually a water code in the body. You have different types of water. So you have liquid water, and you have plasma water. So when. When the Bible says die to your flesh, it's like, die to your desires of the flesh. So that is your desire to be lazy, your desire to stay where you're at, Your desire to do these Things. But then you go into the plasma water, which, the plasma in the body. If you know anything about the fourth phase of water, it's essentially where it's a type of water that carries light throughout your body. So it's more of like a gelatin plasma. And the drops that I got was like, okay, maybe, just maybe there's a difference between that intuition that God is trying to show you and the actual flesh. And so in the water bending course, we talk about this discernment of being able to say, okay, what am I feeling? And not going based off of what you're feeling. So I don't. Even though, contrary to popular belief, I don't go off of how I feel, I go off of my values. I don't navigate based off of how I feel. I go off of my values and then I check in with my body based off of my values. If my value is that I'm here to serve my people and I have an event coming up that I really don't want to do and my body is going into whatever it is, you know, resistance and fascia freeze, then I'm gonna go back to my values and I'm gonna say, what are my values?
Oh, this is so good.
And that's how I navigate. Because way too many people out here are like, trust your body and trusting people to go off of their feelings. But nervous system shows us when you're expanding your capacity is a ceiling. You're gonna hit the ceiling. And when you hit the ceiling, your body doesn't know how to hold more. So then you have to learn how to hold more. That's all it is. So when you're, when you hit the ceiling, it's uncomfortable and you're going to want to retreat and you're going to want to retract. But that's the thing. You have to know your values. And then you have to realize, oh, I'm just hitting a ceiling. My body doesn't know how to hold this big thing yet. And so it's called self preservation in the nervous system work where you hit a ceiling, let's say you're like, oh, I'm learning to hold this much. And then all of a sudden you hit your ceiling, your body goes into self preservation afterward. So if you've ever done an event or did something massive and afterwards you're like, I literally just want to cross a hermit hole. It's because your body's self preserving. It doesn't know. It just doesn't know how to hold it yet.
Yeah.
So I have a protocol. My R R Rest and recovery. I just, I just have a protocol. When I'm like that, I'm like, oh, I'm just, I just need some recovery. It's like working out.
No 100 some recovery.
And then, and then you do it again. Then you do it again. So it's just this, this wisdom. And I'm glad you brought that up because I see so many people holding themselves back.
Yeah. Oh, thank you. I mean, it's so funny you say that because I, you know, obviously I'm traveling right now. I. At first I felt this pressure that I needed to have like a podcast studio and like brand it. And then I'm like, actually it's more on brand for me to be in movement in different places traveling. And so it's kind of cool to get all these.
Goes with your human design, right?
It goes with my human design.
She's narrow valleys, if anybody's curious. She needs to be in the.
I need to be in the people. But I was writing to my team last weekend and I was like, okay, so I forget what it was, but it was like, you know, I'm going here and I'm interviewing with Chris and the next day I'm interviewing with Emily and then I'm going, I'm going to see Mike and then I'm going to see Jilly and then I'm coming back up and then Jillian, I have. Oh, then I'm going to Austin for Angie and then Jillian and I have an event. Literally, it's every day is something. And then I was like. And then Saturday and Sunday, I'm not talking to a human.
Yeah.
Like I just set the expectation. But like I put that in slack like a week ago. And like they're laughing because they know that about me. When I speak at events, it's like, give me the afterwards, give me the air conditioning, a dark hotel room and some Ubereats, please. Healthy food because I need the nourishing, you know. But I know about myself.
See, I'm a water girl. I'm like, I'm going to be in my hot tub. Don't talk to me or I'll literally take our long showers in the hotel room or. But this is, this is important to talk about because the thing with the feminine, when we're looking at all the way our brain functionality is different, our biology, our hormones, I call, you know, I love my men again. I call a lot of the masculine testosterone based teachings. So I'm like, just remember when you're listening to A man. They're going to teach you based on testosterone based teachings.
Yeah.
Testosterone hormonally is a 24 hour cycle. Right. The feminine is a 28 day cycle. So imagine the place that they're teaching from. They're like in the moment, go, go, go.
Yeah.
For us we're like, but wait, like our bodies literally go through this cycle every month and far too many women live a victim to it. We're done with that. We already have enough knowledge to know that now it's time to actually utilize it and use it as the gift that it is.
I love that. And we always talk about the word leverage. I want to get into the hormonal health and, and how women, because a lot of women and you know, are looking at how to improve their health naturally. And that's. Look, the truth is, is that's going to support you in your entrepreneurial journey, period.
Absolutely.
But I do want to just close the loop on something you said about because my community will recognize this, that I always say service with emotions, decisions with data. I have been saying that for years and that was very similar to what you were saying. Like not making decisions with feelings. Because so often our feelings, especially in business, are our fears being projected.
Exactly.
So nobody took action on that. I'm an imposter. I must lower my pricing. I can't do this. And all these emotions are flying and I always go and I look at the data. Where's the drop off? Oh, it's in your call show ups. Well, if we just increase your call show ups, the result could be different. Oh, it's in the conversions. Okay. I think we just need to work on your sales, you know, navigation skill. And so especially as a large part of this community, are entrepreneurs just really driving that home? What you are saying, you know, we articulated differently, but it's the same thing.
You know, it's crazy. I'm laughing because I'm like, it's so crazy how similar we are.
I know.
And that's like, it works, that's why it works.
And like, but we also have like very unique, like, I don't know, like.
Same same but different.
Same, same but different. Yeah, same, same, different. Let's talk about how for you, a lot of your belief in as you took a sip of the water and your stand for it. Because I know that you will not sell or promote or offer anything into the world that you do not believe in. Like that is something, that level of integrity is something that made me really excited to partner with you. That's Important for me. And so thank you for holding that, you know, standard and level of integrity. But can we talk just a little bit about, like, how your health journey was impacted and holistic health and the water.
Yeah. Thank you for saying that. You know, if anybody's listening to this and you are growing your brand as an influencer and you get like a six figure deal and you really don't.
Like the product, do it.
Don't do it.
Don't do it.
I have had so many people reach out to me about this, that and the other, and whatever it is, might be hair, it might be skin. But really, like, I value natural aging.
Yep. Okay.
So I want to preface this with a disclaimer that I don't judge anyone. Some of my best friends do things that I would never do.
100.
And I still love them wholeheartedly. And I find that especially in the natural aging arena, there could be a lot of judgment towards other women that might get work done. Right. So just wanted to preface that and really say that water could be the thing that is the missing link for all beauty. So my story quickly. I was 22 and I found out I had ovarian cysts that were cancerous. Fainted. Went to the er. Such low blood pressure. They said I should have been in a coma. Gave me a vaginal ultrasound and didn't even tell me. Kept me in the hospital for like two days, kind of against my will, but I didn't really understand how it worked. And then that's when I found the water. Somebody told me to drink it. Didn't explain anything to me. I drank it. Three weeks later, I went in to get my laparoscopy. Cysts were gone.
Unbelievable.
Doctors look at me and say, what happened? Like, well, this is weird. And I'm like, I'm pretty sure it's just water, but I don't know. And they instantly, it's a scam. Instantly they were like, it's a scam that the alkaline water doesn't work. And so it was very interesting for me to wake up to the medical system in that way and kind of study the medical industrial complex and how.
It'S like a whole other episode. Yeah.
But from that point on, I started studying the body. And I'm not even kidding, you guys. I was stupid in school. Like, diagnosed adhd, awful at school. C student. Barely got into college.
Got, like, barely passed entrepreneurs.
And I thought I was legitimately stupid. Like, science was not my thing.
Yeah.
But here's what I learned in the Western. Allopathic medicine, everything is compartmentalized, and nothing is holistic. Water science is holistic. Water science does not compartmentalize your heart from your digestion, from your lungs. It's literally all water. So I. I had this massive awakening with water science. I was studying every single day. Anytime I could get in my hands on it, I was on YouTube. I was taking courses. I flew to Japan to. To study under Missouri Moto, who's a very. If anybody knows about him, he does this water experiment with crystals. And anyways, I went so deep in that, and I started taking back my sovereignty over my body as a woman. Got off birth control, got off ADHD meds, got off. I was on and off anxiety medication, depression medication. I had allergies. I was on allergy medication. I got off everything. And I don't. I'm very clear with medical claims. Right. I'm like, my journey is my journey. I can't claim that it cures whatever. But for me, it was like, well, what else can it do?
Right?
What else can water do? And I started learning about how the brain is water and how the focus in our brain, if our brain is water, it can't secrete these certain chemicals. Like, my chemical imbalances were all off because of the Adderall. So then I got off stimulants, I got off coffee, I got off caffeine, and then it led me to getting off the birth control. And that was a big thing that I totally was like, so birth control is affecting my ability to choose a partner.
Yeah.
And there's a whole study if you guys want to look into it, but essentially just started realizing tampons are toxic. My doll is really bad for you just are waking up to all of the feminine, holistic side. Well, then I. I mean, I straightened my hair for 15 years.
Yeah.
Then I started studying the hormones, and I was like, I need to stop straightening my hair, and I need to stop wearing makeup, and I'm just gonna go all in with the natural. I'm like, crazy like that, right? I'm like, I'm just gonna go all in. Well, then I started learning about the hormones and essentially in the pheromones. And so all these chemicals that we're putting on our skin as women are actually blocking their endocrine blockers. And so from the chemicals I used to get skin tags because my hormones were off balance, and I used to get back acne really bad. And I. And I had been to hormone specialists before because I kind of noticed it, and they'll just Tell you get on birth control, or they'll tell you to take whatever it is. And I learned that as we age, the waters in our body actually start dehydrating. And so the number one cause of inflammation is dehydration. What is. I mean, the root of a lot of disease is inflammation.
Hell, I know everyone's, like, doubling down on their turmeric, and it's like, can we hydrate?
Exactly. And I love turmeric.
I love it. I have it in my bag.
And so we have to be able to. And I would ask you the same thing. Like, would you even be able to travel and do all the things that you're doing without your health?
Absolutely not. Yeah. And I had a different path there because it was through the loss of Laden that I even began studying gut health. I didn't know what it was. Right. But I was a girl who, you know, was on prescriptions and taking Tums. Like, I carried Tums. Like it was normal.
Right, Right.
Like, oh, just gotta put the Tums in my purse.
And the headaches every day.
Yeah. I don't take anything. I literally have not taken anything since Layden died. I had one allergic reaction where I had to, like, take something, honestly, and I think that's it in 11 years. Like, I, like, I just can't. My body doesn't do well.
Yeah. And there's no judgment for those who do, because, you know, I'm thankful for allopathic medicine when it comes to emergencies and when it comes to certain things. But for me, on my journey, I. I really wanted to pick up where my mom left off. My mom had me all natural, all of us kids, all natural. And she really valued the natural way. But just along the way, you know, certain medications, it's like she knew it before she knew it. And so I think I was seeded with that really young. Growing up on a ranch, eating my own cattle, and, you know, we had chickens, you know, and very thankful for the way that I was raised, because then when the water path came, I was like, okay, I'm gonna question everything. I'm gonna question this whole menstruation thing, that it's bad, that it should be painful. No, I don't get any pain on my cycle anymore. I don't get any PMS symptoms. If you're getting pmf, PMS symptoms, it's usually hormone imbalances. Or if you're not able to really handle your emotions during the month and your nervous system isn't really, like, regulated, it'll come up in PMS It'll come up in that way. So even with teenagers, I started going into like, is it normal to have all these hormonal issues? No, it's not. And so I started taking back that body sovereignty. Right. I call it water body sovereignty, where I'm like, what else? What else is a lie? Or what else have I been told? And I told you I would love to get into this. Of what have we been told as women as we age?
Yeah. 100%. I know.
Oh, my gosh.
I feel like we could do nine podcasts. Right? But, you know, I think that it's super powerful in understanding. Like, yeah, your body is telling you something. And whether it's in your business, whether it's in your health. Ask questions.
Yes.
Like, ask questions.
Yes.
You know, and I always say, curiosity is everything. Not judgmental questions. Judgmental questions, but like, oh, I wonder why this is happening in my business. I wonder why this is the feedback I'm getting. I wonder why my hormones feel off. Like, you gotta go there, otherwise you're an autopilot. You're on a hamster wheel. You're gonna repeat, repeat, repeat. I think curiosity has been one of my greatest superpowers.
Oh, my gosh. I call it the current of curiosity.
Yeah, of course you do. Yeah. So, you know, as we're talking about all this, and I know we have, like, limited time, we can still go for a little bit, but, you know, one of the things we really talked about in health, in energy, is protecting what's in our space and in our environment. Right. And really honoring that. And both of us, of course, because we just. We don't even know this about each other until somehow it came up. I don't even know how, but both of us have really understood energetics in a deep way. And I think it's interesting as women who were both codependent and both looking to men for validation to further along in our journeys, be like, oh, no, you don't get in my space. Like, I don't need your validation. Like, you don't get in my space. Right. And so one of the tools that we've worked with, we worked with holistic health, we worked with water, we worked with all these different things. What has been celibacy? And so how has celibacy impacted you personally and professionally?
So I call it de centering men.
Oh.
When a woman. When a woman de centers men and recenters. God, so much. I really actually. Oh, that man. That gets me emotional. Of, like, how many young girls are centering boys instead Of God and the things that have happened in my life of where I could have had a better role model of what that actually looked like. Because most women center men and so that teaches young women to center men their whole lives. And so when I de centered men and centered God, one of the things that I really cherish is being a role model for young women. And I kept my celibacy journey private.
Yeah.
And I've been celibate going on five years. And when I recentered God in my journey, I have a joke that, you know, thirst is a real thing and you can kind of feel it. So thirsty sales, right? Oh, thirsty men. Like, it's like the desperation. Yeah. And the lust and all that. And so as I started to like really be obedient myself to like what God was leading me to and centering God around my life, it was like, jilly, your womb is going to house the next generation. And as I started to like really get in touch with my womb again after my whole healing and again I mentioned I went through sexual trauma. So it was a process for me totally. I was actually with somebody at the time and I could feel that I no longer wanted to be intimate because of what I was being led to. Faith based, but also with the energies that were there. So when I chose to be celibate, it was a choice of, I'm going to preserve this for the next generation. And I wholeheartedly believe in the covenant with God and that that covenant for me, marriage is where I will finally do it. Right.
Yeah.
And so as I started to just set that boundary for myself and I love when I actually shared with you that I was celibate the first time we met, you were like, it's a power move.
Yeah. And I was like, that was what I said to you.
I remember it is a power move.
And it is unpower move.
I hadn't shared that with many people at all. But then I started thinking and this was what, over a year ago maybe.
Yeah, yeah.
And I was like, you know what? I think I need to share this. And it was me realizing that young women need to hear women who are successful that didn't get their through sleeping our way to the top, through dating our way to the top, by actually honoring what God gave us, which is a womb that births the next generation. And for me, that is very, very sacred.
Yeah.
So here we are.
Yeah. No, I really. And you know, I think that just speaks to like the first time we met. Somehow that comes up like, I know that's it In a nutshell, I feel that you're so. Yeah, most people are like, where'd you grow up? I don't think I learned that about you for, like, three months. I know, I know, but I knew everything else. No, it really is. And I think it's important to speak about. You know, it's gonna make some people uncomfortable. People are gonna have opinions and judgment of it.
Oh, girl. I mean, like, very. I mean, even Christian women who. I mean, you're going off of Christian values, like biblical values, but you're still sleeping with your partner before marriage. And this is where I. Yes.
Yeah.
Let's just say I've triggered quite a few, but in a loving, compassionate way.
But I think what's important about that. Let's just look at the bigger lesson. Like, forget the subject matter of celibacy, but the bigger lesson is that we choose for us what feels right and in alignment. We let other people choose for them, and there's no judgment. And the truth is, none of us really know what is the right thing. So you have to. And this isn't business. This isn't everything. This isn't where you decide to live. This is how many kids you want to have or don't have. This is, like, how you want to work or don't want to work. It's if you want to be seven figures, if you want more, like, downtime, like, there's no right or wrong. And I think that's very important and something we align on. It's so I know when I trigger someone else that they are just looking in the mirror or projecting something of their own experience. Because I do literally do not have, like, right or wrong live in me.
Well, it goes back to, like, let God be God. I'm not here to be God and to colonize you and to force you into a certain belief. Like, I don't believe in doing that.
Right.
I believe that I. I am here to be it.
Yeah.
And to be an example of it and to love other people and sit. You know, Jesus sat with the sinners. And you. God. God doesn't love you any less. God's love is unconditional. And so for me, like, really coming into that cell, celibacy journey, I questioned a lot of feminine teachings. I questioned a lot of feminine teachings that are just thrown around about sexuality and intimacy. And I. Some. Again, Some of my best friends teach pleasure and all of these things. And I really just want to encourage every woman listening to this that you have every right to decide what you are meant to do with your womb. And I do also invite you into, like, have, have reverence for your womb and honor for who you're letting in. And that. Yeah, that is, you know, I think.
That like, so for me my journey was more on like the healing and like the just being with Melissa. And so at first it was healing, then it became a power move as I began studying it. And so for me, it wasn't as womb related because I wasn't even sure if I wanted to have more children. I couldn't even let my mind go there.
Wow.
So it was more about what am I energetically, literally letting in my space. And that level of now, I want, I want to be clear just because if, if you choose this path in whatever way or not, like, we're not preaching that, whatever, but it is interesting to explore. And you know, I think that there's something there about the way that you value yourself and respect yourself. That for me is what it was. It became a value and respect and a standards thing. It doesn't mean that you don't have hormones or sexual energy. Right. And I think that's important to know. In fact, like, it can become an even healthier, more abundant sexual energy because it's not being like energy vampired. Right?
Yes.
So it actually can grow more. So I just want to be really clear on that. Right. But I, I think for me, I actually began really studying sacral chakra energy and how it's your creative energy. And if you think about it, it's your life, life force energy. And so when you really study this, it's like, you know, how do you work with that sacral chakra energy for your manifestation, for your growth, for your goals. And if anybody is going to be kind of coming into that space in the research I did is like, they've got to be your vibration or higher. Right? So that you guys can kind of work with sacral chakra energy, which is literally creation energy, life force energy. And so I actually, I'll be honest, for me, it was like studying it for business. Oh my God. Yeah, it was studying for business. And then like it became a worthiness thing and kind of a, like a. Hey, I've. I valued this so much. This is not open access. You know what I mean, girl?
And it. What is the element of the sacral chakra is water.
Water, of course.
And like the water and the creativity and you know, I navigated my way through new age spirituality and like different aspects of different teachings, and now I find myself with very biblical values. But One of the things that I love about water is that, I mean, think about it. The womb is water.
Yep.
And we get wet.
Yeah.
Men, what happens when they're, you know, their blood flows.
Yeah.
And it's all made up of water. And so one of the things that really helped me through this is realizing, okay, where am I leaking? Where am I leaking that energy? And if water is the creative energy, then where can I start preserving it and actually flow that to other places? So. And we're getting there with being open about it. But my partner now who was actually I was with back then, we separated and then got back together. We've both been celibate for almost five years.
Wow.
And waiting till marriage. So I, I am a woman, but I also have a man counterpart that's been doing this with me. And that's been fascinating to see.
That is fascinating with in.
And it's like so impossible for. And you.
We've especially because you've already experienced each other.
Yes.
Yeah, I know, I know. And it's not like choosing celibacy means that you don't have the desire.
Right, right, right.
And it's next level.
When we were in the thick of it, it was like we would seek like some masculine guidance or whatever. But not many people have actually been celibate. It's either they are celibate and then they get married right away.
Yeah.
Like they're, they're not really celibate for that long. And so I love when he shares because he's sharing from this testosterone based lens of like. Yeah. And he says it all the time. He's like, why do you think I've been able to build so much?
Well, that's. No, exactly. And it's so funny because Daniel, who we're mutual friends with, we met through Daniel G. He's, he's talked about before, like, you like what you allow in your space. Right, right. And he's, he's done things where he's like, if you're not making X amount in your business, no sex. You know what I mean? It's so funny. Like, and it's true because energy is energy. And I don't know if you've studied and my goodness, I know we're like, we're, we're coming up. But I, I just want to float this. Listeners can go look it up. You can look it up. But if you, you might have heard of it. But like sexual transmutation, like literally can grow rich.
Chapter 11.
Yes, yes, yes. And so that was actually what my Segue was. And of course, entrepreneur, business driven, like. And then it became more worthiness, conversation, you know, and for me, like, I personally. And just. I think it's nice to have contrasting opinions. I don't. There's no right or wrong. I don't personally see myself, you know, holding until marriage. And that's just my choice.
Yeah.
It could change. Right. And I think there's just. I think it's important people to say there's so many different ways in which you can navigate, but regardless of what type of energy it is, your time energy, your body energy, your food energy, all of it matters.
It does. So have you openly shared your journey with it?
I don't think so.
I did.
I did a coaching call with my community of women. Ah. Talking about it more in business. Talking about sexual transmutation, talking about attraction, talking about working with sacral chakra energy. But I haven't, like, actually. Hello, Is this it?
I mean, think about it. Because we're both women. I'm 35. I'm gonna be 35 this year. Right? You're 41.
41.
41.
I know.
Think about how many societal, like, limits that we're breaking right now.
Oh, gosh.
And, like, that's. That's the funny thing. People look at me because some, you know, I'm. I'm Latin. Okay. I like. I like my outfits. I like showing my belly. I like wearing my.
I wear crop tops every day. I'm 41 years old.
We're not the typical women that would be preaching celibacy. I'm like, I'm. I'm finding my way. I'm. I'm wrestling with the modesty thing with God lately. But you know what I'm saying, Like, we're not your typical. Like.
Yeah.
I don't know. It's just these archetypes that we're just here to just bust through because we're.
Both a little wild in our way. Yeah, Right. We're both, like, a little wild. Like, we kind of have that free spirit harnessed with the direction and the driver, because we're two very focused, driven people. And I think that's important for people to see. You can be both.
Yeah. Yeah.
You know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
And especially at our age. And this is another thing that I learned on my water path was essentially, like, if you have been told about the biological clock, and you're listening to this, and there are so many single women in their 30s and 40s and 50s that I want you to hear this very clearly, that the Biological clock concept is not valid when we look at the actual science. It's not about your number of eggs. It's about how healthy your womb is because it's the fluid that the sperm flows through, it's the mucus around your egg. It's actually the quality of your waters in your womb that actually dictate. So again, it goes back to the beginning of this as we're closing this out. It's more. It's not about the numbers. It's not about the quantity. It's about the quality.
The quality.
It's about the quality all around.
Such a good theme, but it is true, you know, and so I hope, you know, everyone. I mean, we went to all the places.
Yeah, we did.
Yeah. Of course.
That's the water path.
That's the water path, you know, and that everyone took away, like, what's going to resonate with them the most. But I hope that everyone takes away the idea of curiosity. And what does it mean? And that. I mean, that's feminine, right? What does it mean to be just so deeply presently curious? Not anxiously curious. Presently curious. So. And so, Julie, I can't thank you enough for, you know, being on here, for the magic that you share for the water codes, for introducing me to the water, you know, and you guys, I can't recommend, like, the water enough. I really can't. And so can they DM you if they're interested in learning more?
Absolutely. Okay, what's your Instagram water eris? That's H E I R E S.
S. And we'll drop it in the show notes as well.
And of course, if you're interested more in these water codes, I just finished writing my book called the Water Lens and I really.
Wait, it's. It's not a book. It's literally a water bible that is like, you know, I just finished a book. I think it's a couple hundred pages. 400. Yeah.
I think it's gonna come out to about four. Over 400 pages, of course, because it's. I truly feel that water is the missing link to so many things. And just hydration in general brings life all around. So you can find more on my Instagram, you can find more about the water systems that I sell, you can find more about my passive income, which is very feminine as well. I know. We didn't get it. I know. But that's one of the things that I would recommend that. That journey for everybody in business of really start to look at passive income opportunities as women, because we're done trading our time for money. So.
No, I agree. And I mean, we're probably have to do. Every time. Every person I interview, we're gonna have to do another one because the conversations are just so nourishing.
Right.
We don't do surface level, but as someone who never built passive revenue, opening my eyes to that, you know, and I think you have to be. I think that there's a misconception sometimes around passive revenue that like. Like, it doesn't take any work to get to.
It's like anything.
It's like birthing a child. Right. Like, you have to kind of raise it, and then it becomes independent and it pays you back. So maybe we'll do another episode on that. You guys scope out Jilly, scope out her work. Grab the water. Let me know if you have any questions. And, Jilli, thank you so, so much for your magic.
Thank you. And thank you for all the collaborations that we've had and continue to have. You know, I'm bringing Melissa in for messaging, content, branding. We have our flow event coming up. And a lot of the things that you share, I just see through the water lens.
Yes.
So thank you for being able to hear me and see me and spread this. This gospel of water all over the world, you know?
All right, y', all, thank you for tuning in. We will see you soon.
