Genesis 2:24 says, for this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Sex was created by God. Everything He creates is good, beautiful, and purposeful. That doesn't mean everything we experience in this area is easy or without wounds. Sin, brokenness, painful experiences can distort even the gifts God created for our good. But the distortion does not erase the original design. Design. When we view it as a gift from God and a gift we give our spouse, it restores the beauty and joy that culture and past wounds often steal.
