If you're in that spot where you're like, is this my person? Is it not my person? Do you think that you could spend 30 years with the person that you're in a relationship with? And over the course of 30 years, is this person the kind of person that's willing to lean in and work on it and grow with you? Our daughters will often say to me, I really, like, really want to find someone like Dad. I really hope I have a marriage that's like your guys'. Oh my gosh. And you know what I say to them? I say, first of all, the man you see at 57 is not the man I met at 26. There's been a lot of growth. Our marriage when we started did not look like it looks today. I think that's how you know you're with the right person. You feel like yourself. You see a shared vision of growing old together. You share values. And have some overlapping goals and dreams about the way you think about your life and the things you want outta your life. And you're both willing to lean in and grow together.
