The 6 Pantry Categories That Make Organization Easy | Mel Robbins #shorts

Mel Robbins breaks down a six-category pantry system: breakfast, dinner, snacks, baking, cooking, and dessert. Using bins and labels for each category prevents items from getting lost and keeps busy people from managing endless micro-categories.
Every pantry could be organized and look great by just having 6 categories, just bins, a simple bin. What are the 6 categories? Okay, it's breakfast, dinner, snacks, baking, cooking, dessert.
That's it. That's it. And everything can fall into this.
Every single thing will fall into one of those bins. Everything. Wow.
And it's because you're not creating complicated systems. If you have the space and this is fun for you to have microcategories, have at it. It looks— it can look beautiful. It's so fun. But if you are a busy professional or a busy person just in general, just the 6 categories and you are off to the races with organization.
Just simple systems. I just realized why my pantry drives me crazy, because I don't have these 6 drawers. And so the crackers are in the bin with the cereal and then people don't put it in the right place. That's right.
And one of the keys to maintenance is a label. Yes. And again, that, that feels like it's just an aesthetic situation and it is not. Labels are a set of instructions for the household and it is not just to put a pretty label on something. Where do you put the label if it's a drawer? You could just put it on the inside of the drawer. Inside of the drawer. Got it. Open, dinner. Done. So if you're using drawers, if you're using a bin— You just changed my life. Just get a bin clip. A bin clip is really important because you can't necessarily see into it. And so your, your partner, your child, whatever, if they put it in a different bin, they're gonna be like, well, I didn't know what, what that bin was for. You just have to think about it. It's, it's a roadmap for your household.
