Corvette C7 Z06 vs. Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 | Roll Race

We've got a pretty cool race today. The Lamborghini huracan against my C7Z06. Mid engine versus front engine, V10 versus V8. Dual clutch versus auto. We'll take it to Pocono Raceway where our friends at Slipstream Racing are hooking us up with an 1800 foot roll race. The Lambo has 50 less horsepower but weighs 150 pounds lighter. It can do the quarter mile on high tens at over 130 miles per hour. The Z06 can also do high tens but but it traps a little bit slower. So let's see what happens from a rolling start. This first run is a prime example of why I don't like to roll race in auto mode. Yes, the car will shift better than you, but unless you blip the throttle at the perfect moment, the car won't be in the optimal gear and it'll need to downshift. The Lambo started in sport auto and with that slight kick down delay, it gave my Z06 the ju. Now we'll do it again with the Lambo in corsa mode which gives you full manual control. Keep in mind that my Z06 has been in full manual mode this whole time. That last run was a bit closer than I expected. The Huracan ran an uncorrected 60th 1:30 time of 8.95 seconds and the Z06 ran an uncorrected 8.43. So that's about what a half a second difference would look like in a real world roll race. Both cars have stock powertrains. The Huracan is running the Porfa Monte style rear wing with a very negligible angle of attack. On the other end of things, the Z06 is running the stage three front splitter. I know this isn't the best for straight line stuff. It's also got a set of aftermarket wheels. And out back I ran the stage one rear spoiler for minimal drag. This is my usual setup for roll racing because I was a little too lazy to remove the front winglets. 1800ft is about a third of a mile, which gives you a better picture of how a high powered car would perform. I definitely prefer this and half mile drag racing over your standard quarter mile stuff. All in all, I thought this was a pretty fair race and both cars are plenty fast. But if you made me pick, I think I might have to go with the Lambo. Despite all my love for the Z06, it's hard to beat the sound of that V10 if this is your first time on the channel, be sure to watch some of my other stuff. I'm dedicated to producing cinematic car content and doing real world performance tests for all sorts of fast cars.
