We already know how this story ends, But I still wanted to see it from my own eyes. The Hellcat. A 6.2 liter supercharged beast that makes 707 horsepower and 650 pounds of earth moving torque. Capable of a high 10 second quarter mile time and running a low 8 second 60 to 130. All while carrying four humans in complete comfort. How do you top that? You create the Dodge Demon, put on a bigger blower, wide body package, make 840 horsepower and race fuel and wear massive 315 wide rear drag radials. It's designed to do only one be the fastest quarter mile production car on the planet. But I want to find out just how much faster this extra 20 grand will get you if we extend the Runway out to a half mile. It. We knew the Demon was going to win, but the question is by how much. It looks like both cars got a pretty decent launch off the line on an unprepped airfield. Reaction times are similar so no one really got a jump here and both cars are auto. All in all, I think it was a pretty fair run.
