I don't always go to auto shows, but when I do I go to the New York International Auto Show. Here I get to scope out potential rides, check out cool new cars and brush up on socializing with humans. Lets start with my favorite, the new GT 500. Pictures don't do this car justice. It's a mean looking machine. This will probably be the one Mustang I end up buying. I just hope they don't go crazy with the dealer markup. Carbon wheels, big wing, dual clutch gearbox, but no new details on the powertrain. All they're saying is over 700 horsepower. One thing's for sure though, it'll sound amazing. Another highly anticipated car is a new Supra. A lot of controversy here and I'm not sure I like it yet. Not saying it looks bad, I'm just saying it may not live up to its hype. 300 something horsepower is just not enough to be cool these days. Here's a car that doesn't live up to the hype, the Acura nsx. I'm not even sure I want to drive one. The back is cool. I like hybrid powertrains and I dig the single large exhaust tip, but it's heavy as hell and the front looks sort of like a souped up Honda Accord. Acura's A spec division is looking pretty cute though. The TLX and ILX are definitely on my list. Must be something about those big round exhaust tips. I guess they need something to keep themselves relevant these days. I'm not sure if Mercedes needs another baby AMG, but this CLA 35 would be good competition for the TLX A spec with both cars making around 300 horsepower. The interior is definitely pretty dope though. Speaking of dope interiors, this is the one car I need to drive this year, the Giulia Quadrifoglio. I know they don't sell well, but there's something sexy about that Italian badge and giant metal paddles. I'm just afraid that I'll like it so much that somehow one of them will end up in my garage. The Alpha 4C is a car that I've wanted to drive for years, but I don't know why I never got around to it. Hopefully I'll get a chance this year. I first saw the Kia Stinger GT at this auto show two years ago and I swore to myself that I had to have one. It's fast, practical and all wheel drive. They're also making this GTS version which gives you drift mode, but I'm not really sure I'M sold on that. You can't talk about the Stinger GT now without talking about the G70, which is practically the same car with the Genesis Hyundai badge. The biggest improvement is the interior, but I do prefer the Kia's styling better. This car has too much bling for me. No C8 Corvette, but the Porsche Speedster is cool. It's funny that I've never actually driven a Porsche, so that's got to be on my list this year as well. I don't know why BMW didn't show up to the show, but there are plenty of Audis to keep me happy. So this isn't my usual jam, but feel free to check out the rest of my channel. And don't forget to subscribe if you like what you see.
