How much EV range does the Wrangler 4xe have in the real world? Let's find out. I'm going to use our trusty little racelogic VBox to track exactly how far we drive. Starting off with the full charge, the computer tells us that we've got 29 miles of electric range, which is about 30% more than Jeep's claim of 22 miles. And that's a good sign. Going about my day, my first stop would be to drop my wife off at the bus station. That brought me down to about 80%. Then I dropped my kid off at school. Before I head to the office, I get to work with about 15 miles of range left. I live in a pretty typical suburban area, about 45 minutes from a major city, so I think this is a realistic test for a lot of folks. We got our hands on this Wrangler courtesy of Motore Envy. They specialize in flexible leasing and sales of luxury vehicles all over the country. Anyway, after work I make a quick detour to drop off some Amazon returns. I leave the car on to keep it cool because it's hot as balls out. Interestingly, leaving the AC on depleted about 5%. Now I'm off to pick up my wife and kid again. As I pull into my driveway, I'm basically running on fumes, metaphorically. So a day in the life with electric only range gets me about 27.47 miles, according to the VBox. I guess that answers my question.
