Can you believe it? It's been a year. A year since I embarked on this journey. A year since I decided to share my passions with the world. I've learned a lot. I lied about myself, a lot about cars, a lot about driving fast. I traveled the world, gained friends, I lost friends. But I think it's time I take this a little more seriously. See, this whole time I feel like I wasn't doing what I really set out to do. I got carried away with building a YouTube channel and I wasn't realizing my potential as a filmmaker. Cinematography is more than just pretty shots. Cinematic cinematography is the art of telling a story through motion picture. When I first came back to the channel, I didn't just want to do car reviews that had great image quality. I wanted to tell stories with the cars, about my experiences with them and experimenting creatively. Somehow I strayed pretty far from that. So I think it's time we bring it back a little bit. But I want to thank each and every one of you watching for helping me get to this point. Every view, every share, every comment, every like, it all helps. Not just the algorithm, but to help keep me going. So I hope you guys stick it out with me through this journey. Moving forward, the racing format won't change much. I want to introduce new metrics, but I'll be switching to a more story based narrative. For the car reviews, I'll still give my impressions on driving them, but I'll focus more on the acceleration tests and the fast list as that's what I really enjoy anyway. And as some of you may know, I don't like being in front of the camera. Actually, I hate it. I spent my whole career behind it. But for the sake of uploading consistently, it was a necessary evil. So I'm going to try and find somebody else to see more screen time, but I'll still make a cameo here and there. Last but not least, I'm gonna need some time off. People who have followed me for a while know that this is a private channel. There's no one else here but me and my wife and I want to keep it that way. So it's been a tough year. I put a lot of effort into this and I don't want to burn out early. I have a few more episodes planned after this update, but after that I'll probably go on a one or two month break. I want to come back stronger and more refreshed. New fast lists, more metrics, better storytelling, different characters. So that'll all take some time and plan and you'll probably see some of those changes in the next few videos, but the good news is that we just passed the 50k mark and I'm starting to see some sponsorships roll in. So that means I'll try to open my store and maybe start rolling out some merch. Baby steps, right? But anyway, I hope you all understand and again, thank you for supporting me.
