Supercharged Lamborghini Huracan vs. DME Tuned McLaren 600LT | 60-150MPH Roll Race

The Lamborghini Huracan. It's not a slow car by any means. Most people would be perfectly content with 602 horsepower, a gnarly sounding V10, and the ability to run high tens in the quarter mile. But if you find yourself losing the Z06s or are just simply not most people, then the best thing to do is to throw some boost in the car. And for a cool 30 grand, you could have yourself a VF supercharged Lambo that makes over 800 brake horsepower. And with Lambo's all wheel drive system, you have the potential to break into the nines at over 141 miles per hour. At that point, there aren't that many street cars that can go toe to toe with you. Unless you have a 720s or in our case, a DME Stage 2 McLaren 600 LT that also makes around 800 brake horsepower. And the thing about McLarens are that they're light as hell. The 600 LT weighs in at just under 3,000 pounds, which is 400 pounds lighter than the Hurac. Not forget about some downpipes for that exhaust node. Anyway, I'm curious to see what the outcome of this race would be. So we're going to find out by doing some high speed rolls in the front straightaway at Pocono Raceway. And for this particular race, both cars will have a passenger. One of them is me. Obviously, the distance for this roll race is about a third of a mile, or 1800ft. So plenty of space to flex those guns. For this first run, we'll roll out about 65 mph. I don't know why the 600 LT starter is so far ahead. I guess the Lambo wanted to see if he can reel the McLaren. Now things are getting serious. We start at a 60 roll this time, but the Lambo seems to roll into it a little bit early. But keep an eye on that 600L. I'm a little disappointed we couldn't get a clean run in. So there's no clear winner in this race. I don't think a rematch will happen anytime soon, so you'll have to make your own judgment on this one. But in my heart, the 600lt takes the cake. There's just something special about a track spec McLaren with a roof scoop that makes me giggle even if I have to see a chiropractor after trying to get into those seats.
