Track Day TV Channel Update | February 2019

Today is the 1st of February 2019. It's been three months since I resurrected this channel. I figured it's about time I explain myself. My name is Dan and I originally started this channel in 2009. I called it Super Fast HD and set out to create cinematic car content. But I was just a kid and I had no idea what I was doing. So if you watched my how fast is the Z06 episode, you hear me mention that it's been eight years. Well, eight years ago I was given the opportunity to pursue a career in the movie and TV industry. I took it and left this channel behind. Fast forward to 2018. I sold my business and retired from that industry. But I soon realized that I needed an outlet for my creativity and what better place than my old YouTube channel. Here I get to combine my passion for cars with the skills that I acquired as a cinematographer. I guess I'm doing this whole YouTube thing mainly because I love driving cool cars and I want to share those experiences with you, but it's not easy. I'm no longer surrounded by a platoon of crew members. Now it's just me and my wife and sometimes a friendly helper. So we aren't a big production at all, but I'm determined to deliver big production content. I know I just got started, but there's still a lot that I want to do on the show. I'm still going to do performance car reviews, but I do want to focus more on the rolling acceleration tests. Sometimes I might get a car that I don't really want to drive. In that case I'll just bundle it into one performance review with a little bit more detail. I also want to travel more for the channel, do more track days and shoot more interesting cars. All while I continue to build my fast list of acceleration times. If you're not familiar with that, I'm talking about my in house database of 40, 160, 130 times. At some point soon I'll explain how I do these tests. Anyways, over the next few months I also want to incorporate a more story based approach to the episodes and hopefully add some new characters to the mix. I hate being the only one on screen. It gets pretty lonely. I also want to get a sponsorship from my local track to be able to get some lap times with the cars that I test, but that might take some sweet talking. I know this wasn't much of an update in the traditional sense of things, but I do hope you guys are enjoying my videos and I also want to take this time to thank all my subscribers for being a part of this journey.
