A speaker (from the YouTube video "From Law Enforcement to Life Changer") delivers a first-person reflection on returning to their old neighborhood to inspire others, urging pride, self-identification, and purpose. The speaker expresses enduring love for law enforcement despite being personally wronged, cites a specific mentor—Deputy Hicks—whose work changed lives across racial groups, and voices anger and disappointment about how they were treated.

Chapters

So I go back to that same neighborhood to let them know that if I made it, you can make it. Only thing you need to do is take pride, look in the mirror, identify self, and know where you're going at in life, you know? But through it all, my brother, I still love law enforcement to this day. They took something from me that I love. I didn't like my job. I love my job. And you can talk to so many different people that see me speak about it, have responded and say, man, I changed my life because of Deputy Hicks. I'm talking about white, his Hispanics and blacks. And it's a shame. It's a disgrace what they've done to me, my brother.
