Short monologue by Mick Hunt emphasizing personal investment in learning and mastering one’s voice and speaking practice. He stresses daily practice (e.g., 30 minutes of reading/listening), finding one’s voice, speaking with purpose and power, and cites lessons from 'Les' and a line attributed to Maya Angelou about emotional impact over literal words.

Investment isn't always money. Investment can be time. Investment should be learning. How many of us read or listen to audiobooks? At least 30 minutes a day. You're already ahead of the game. You have to invest in yourself because learning is power. And with all the artificial intelligence that's coming, you don't want someone or anything else to speak for you or give you knowledge that you can't understand. So when we talk about mastery, and I talk to Les every day, and I'm continuing to master everything that I do, and the very first lesson that he gave me was practice your pace, find your voice, and when you speak, speak with purpose and power. Understand and find your voice. And every time you speak, speak with power and purpose. Because Maya Angelou told us, people may not remember what you say, but they'll remember how you made them feel. And if speaking is going to be your career, and if you want to get paid to speak and if you want to get rebooked for engagements with what do you think people are going to remember how you made them feel, how you made them feel?
