How do we start this social selling process? What are the things that we need to do? What are the things that we need to focus on? Because social selling is about building relationships, it's about providing value. And lastly, it's about engaging with insights, not just information. What if I told you that 54% of people that go on social media platforms go there to research brands and companies? Would you believe me? 54% of adults that go on social media go to research your brand. So how many of you can be found on more than four social platforms? Everybody look around, keep their hands in the air. How many of you can be found on more than four social platforms? It is key. If people are researching, you have to be found and you have to be found in multiple places because you can't assume that everyone uses the one social platform that you love, right? How many of you have an agency, YouTube channel? So earlier when we talked about the modern buyer, all of us, right? The first thing that we do when we're researching something or looking at something or thinking of something is do what someone over here said Google earlier, right? Guess who owns YouTube. Say that out loud again. Guess what Google is going to promote 10 times out of 10 a YouTube channel. If you do not have a YouTube channel, you were 1000% missing the boat. In connecting with today's modern buyer, how many of us, if we're going to research something, will watch a YouTube video today, right? But rarely is insurance there because none of us are there. Agency YouTube channel by far is the biggest free investment you should make in your life today. If you don't have one, you should start one. And we'll talk about some strategies with YouTube in a moment. But when we talk about social selling, I'm gonna tell you a story of a producer that we work with who started in the industry two years ago. In the commercial side, landscape is his niche market. Landscapers, landscape contractors. Using social selling. Year one, $300,000 of revenue. New business, fresh out of college, couldn't spell insurance, definitely couldn't spell landscaping. But here's what he did. He used social selling as a strategy. He created a LinkedIn page and a Facebook page. Both of these are free. Everything I tell you costs zero dollars. I promise you. On his Facebook group, on his Facebook page, he and he invited the vendors and suppliers of landscapers to host a monthly 30 minute lunch and learn. He was just the host. He didn't offer to sell insurance. He didn't talk about insurance. What he did was provided value. Meaning if the John Deere Tractor supplier and the feed and seed store owner wanted to have a conversation. They we're bringing in 50 to 100 people a month for this channel. And because he was the host and he branded everything with his agency, naturally he started getting calls. One year, 300,000 of revenue. And I promise you he was riding with the same crappy carriers that we all have using the same crappy technology that we all have. 300,000 of revenue. I promise all of you can do that. So why should you embrace social selling? Number one, it aligns with modern buyer habits. If people are searching, if people are researching, if people are investing time, you have to be there. That is 1000% the expectation. How many of us will not go somewhere that we can't find online or socially or research right show off hands? I promise you that is me. I don't care if it's a referral from Darren, my best friend, I'm searching it just to validate what he said. It fosters trust and loyalty. Here's another big component that I need all of you to embrace with trust and loyalty. It is not the words that you say. It's the testimonials of your clients. How many of you on your website or social platforms have video client testimonials? I promise you that is what you want to be. Because now I can link that back to my YouTube channel, which is now going to link to Google, which means I'm going to rank higher naturally than everyone else. And here's an important thing for me because we're talking sales. It enhances your lead quality and shortens your sales cycle time. And I'm going to explain how and why this happens. If I'm selling socially, if I am posting socially, the people that interact wanted to interact. So I have a much better lead because they chose to interact with me. So all of your social posts should lead to and I'm going to keep piggybacking on CJ should lead to some type of form or some type of engagement. And I don't care what type or line of business that you sell. There should be some way for someone to interact with you because ultimately that's what we want.
