Chapters

There's a story of Shelley Winters. Shelly Winters is an old actress that most people don't even remember now, but extraordinary giftedness and being able to conjure or bring up all of her passion on the top of her skin. She was very connected to her emotions. One day, after she had been Shelly Winters, you know, the extraordinary actress, somebody asked her to come in to audition. And this guy was almost like a new director. You name it, whatever. Nothing near the accolades and the experience that she had. And so she went to audition with her two Oscars, and she put the two Oscars on his table, and she said, when you've done this, you can ask me to audition. Love it. Come on, guys. How much practice do you think Shelley Winters needed for you to audition her? It's demoralizing.
