Kim Roberts explains her acting philosophy: characters 'grow from' the actor and must be rooted in truth. She argues actors should find parts of themselves or people they know in a character, observe and understand human truth without judgment, and learn a character’s beliefs, feelings, motivations, and rationale (regardless of moral alignment).
