A lot of us writers write about our heartbreaks and that sometimes are the best songs because everybody feels the heartbreak, you know? And that song, I cried through the whole writing of it. I was just crying all the time because my heart was so broke. But it makes for good songs. Absolutely. Because I would call my mom and say, she said, write about it. That's what she always told me. Write about it.
