So you have a physical server, which I think we all know what those are. Those are the hardware. You have a physical processor, so that's the processor in the box, the cpu. You have physical cores. So your processors are broken down into cores. And then you have virtual cores. And so a virtual core is when you virtualize. It's a basically virtual CPU that's assigned to a database. And then you got a hardware thread that's either a physical. Physical core or hyper thread of a physical processor.
