The serper CAL model, from a licensing perspective for SQL Server is something that's not seen very often anymore. Most people are licensing this on a core basis, although there are still some customers that do server cal, and there are some scenarios where maybe you do a subset of server cal. And so the way that a server CAL licensing model works is you buy a SQL Server for the ose. So whether it's a physical or virtual, you buy a SQL Server license for the ose, and then you buy client access licenses, either for every device or every user that actually accesses the server.
