Meet Kris Wong - SAM Evangelist

I'm Chris Wong and I work for MD360. So I help clients with advice and consultation around non Microsoft publishers whenever we're looking to optimize contracts, save money or defend licensing positions. I've been doing SAM for probably the better part of 10 years, so I've had various experiences around it. It's not only sam. I've done ITAM and some cloud optimization as well in sam and I've specialized mainly on Oracle and IBM, although I've had experiences across the, you know, different publishers, Micro Focus and Quest and Autodesk, Microsoft. Pretty much anything you could think think about in the software world I've I've probably touched either from an audit perspective or a contractual negotiation. What do I like to do when I'm not working well during COVID Not a heck of a lot. I watch a lot of Netflix with my wife, go for a walk with my dog and recently I've been redecorating a room for our upcoming child. I like rock climbing. I really enjoy that, but we don't do that right now. I'm looking forward to progressing and kind of evolving. Sam while here too often we see in the the community that, you know, the tool vendors are pitching kind of the silver bullet and I hope to kind of dispel that that myth. Work with clients and the tool vendors to really deliver on what SAM can deliver, which is cost savings, better compliance, better information to make key decisions to better run your organization and help tie into the score security side of the house to arm your CISOs with the information to help, you know, prevent the next malware attack or the next kind of ransomware.
