A short YouTube talk by Mike Austin about optimizing cloud operations and spending. The speaker outlines key phases for cloud adoption/optimization—emphasizing an 'operate' phase with sizing, governance, automation, and integration of business practices—and advises a crawl→walk→run progression through each phase.

And then once you get from there, you want to go into the operate phase. Right. And that's where you start, you know. Right. Sizing. Right. Start putting in governance and controls. It's how you start to automate for optimization. And then you're going to integrate your operations, your business practices and processes from around the business into cloud. Now, these are kind of the three main phases, but as you go through them, you're going to go through kind of a crawl, walk, run in each of them.
