Mike Austin walks through a client's effort to fix their ServiceNow CMDB data quality and asset management. They started below 60% accuracy against a 95% target, then built automated discovery processes to find undiscovered devices and figure out why they were missing from the network.

So for one of our clients that we, that we have, that we run a service for with their ServiceNow, CMDB, basically what we're doing is we're looking at that data quality. So we're looking at the Venn diagram that I talked about in the beginning, where it's like, do we have inventory? Do we have, you know, is it active on the network? Is that 95%? And when we first started out with them, they were. They were less than 60%. And basically, we created an automated process for them where, you know, we started with Microsoft, we said, okay, what license? What needs to be discovered? So if devices aren't discovered, let's go figure out why, so that you guys can fix that.
