Why did software companies move to SaaS? Right. And I'm going to use Microsoft as a little bit of a case study here. So let's look at what happened with Microsoft and why did why did they move to SaaS? So let's talk about what Microsoft's big SaaS application is which is Office 365 or Office 365 itself is not an application but the products within Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams Online, etc. Why did Microsoft move and have such a massive push to O365 their SaaS product? Right? And if we go back to 2010, if you look at Office as a product, what's really changed in Office, right? You know, fast forward to Office 2023 and go back and look at Office 2010 has much changed in it. It's still Word, PowerPoint, Excel. It still does the things. Microsoft puts new features in it but 95% of the users don't use those new features. You know, so what's really changed.
