This is a YouTube video titled "ACT Is This a New Era For Global Treasury" containing a discussion from September 8, 2020, featuring multiple speakers including Jayesh and Mike Richards. The conversation focuses on the future of global workforce dynamics, remote work, and its implications for international collaboration in treasury functions.
I have some audience questions now before we go on any further, a couple of really good ones here. And one of them says, will we see more global workforce? More global workforce if we have more virtual teams? Maybe I could turn to Mike on that one. And what's your thinking?
I think there will be, yeah, definitely. I think working from home, but working remotely. It's got to, you know, it can go across borders. You know, people talk to me about, well, does the global recruitment pipeline exist? It doesn't. You know, I can't move to the US none of you guys, unless you marry an American or an American comes here and marries you, you can't move. We can't move across the Atlantic. They can't come here. We can't move in certain places, you know, Europe and across to Asia and right the way across. It's very difficult unless you're sponsored by a company. And so I often say to people, you, you are limited to certain points. I think things might change. And we're already starting to see some things change. We're talking about Brexit, we're talking about things like that. But I think, yes, going back to it. Yeah, there is going to be much more international global working. How applicable is that to day to DAY Treasury? I'm not sure. Jayesh, if you like, if he's got a project on, is he going to turn to someone in the US Or Asia to help as a resource? I think we come back to Covid and being closer to your teams, I think actual it's a way off still.
