Forrest Cebold argues AI will evolve over decades, not overnight. Instead of fearing job loss, he says focus on excelling at what you do now. The realistic timeline matters more than the hype.
Okay. I'm going to be a little counterculture here. I know. Big buzz here is artificial intelligence. Yep. While that is coming, we're not going to be replaced by computers next year. This is going to be an evolution that'll take decades run out and think that AI is going to take over the world here. It's just, it's just there's so many variables involved and things change. You're right. Some of the more routine professions are procedural type activities. Whether you're booking journal entries, something like that. I think you'll see a lot of gains in AI, but it's going to take so long. So don't be worried about AI taking away your job right away. I would really more focus on, hey, let's look at my current job and how can I excel in that and move up in my career. And let's focus on some things that we can control, we can govern, as opposed to being too worried about, oh my gosh, is my job going away because of artificial intelligence?
