The Treasury Recruitment Company at EuroFinance 2022 latest

This is a YouTube video titled "The Treasury Recruitment Company at EuroFinance 2022 latest" containing a monologue by Mike Richards recorded in September 2022. Mike Richards discusses his experiences at the Euro Finance conference in Vienna, focusing on treasury recruitment challenges, salary trends across regions, and the company's global operations and podcast. The content is a detailed update and reflection on the treasury recruitment industry and related events at the conference.
So here at Euro Finance in Vienna, well, this is the final day of it. It's been an amazing conference. Getting to actually meet people face to face has been so good. But one of the key things about meeting them has been them coming up to us and saying, well, this demand, we need people, can you help us? I said, well, that's exactly why we're here. That's actually been really nice. But also giving people just advice how they change their recruitment processes. They need to be flexible. We spoke to the Austrian Treasurers association just at the beginning of the conference. Great session. But we were saying, look, working remotely and working from home and being flexible about that, that's what you've got to embrace. If you don't, you won't find the right people. They're also looking at using LinkedIn, so why can't we find those people? Because you're looking at people that are looking for a job we actually tap into as a company. People aren't looking for a new job, they're looking for their next role, but they're not actively on the market. But that's what we've been meeting. We're meeting candidates, clients and actually talking to them about their lives and what is next in them for their careers. So the other major topic here at Euro Finance has been salaries. People are asking, where should they move to? They've been asking, how are treasury salaries stacking up? Well, the fact is, they're stacking up rather well. In the uk, for instance. They are. There's upwards pressure. Cost of living is increasing as it is across Europe, whereas in Europe, salaries are rising rapidly, if you like. If you temperature chart in the uk, it's very warm, bit red. If you go into Europe, they're getting a bit. Well, it's a bit higher. And everything else in the us, where we are recruiting and we actually have a new guy starting with us, we're going to announce that very soon. They're white hot. You know, we are getting roles coming through. We were seeing 20, maybe 40% increases in basic salaries in the US for the same job. So whereas nine months ago, I might be recruiting a Treasury analyst role, let's say 95, 100,000 now, or senior treasury analyst. What I might actually see is someone like that $120,000 mental. But the cost of living is that much higher. That's what they're having to cope with. So it's been really interesting to talk to lots of delegates about how their salaries are stacking up. A number of them been sending their CVs resumes to us. We look forward to helping them as soon as we get back to the uk. The final thing to away from this conference, there's been a lack of understanding from many of the clients candidates when they've said to us, well, where do you operate? And the answer is, as I said earlier, everywhere. But what I mean by that is, in the uk, lovely Craig and Sophie and they are covering all levels right the way through. Then in Europe, the amazing Katie who won't get on camera. I'd love her to be on here, but she's a bit more camera shy. But we've had some amazing photos on here. Moving on from that, the us, I've got the new recruits announced myself and there's Holly. So what's been lovely is when any delegates walked up, said, well, where do you cover? Well, yes, we can help you in Europe. Oh, you're looking to establish a new Treasury Center. That's what we've been able to talk to them about and that's been really good. The other thing I would say is someone else said, well, how long have you been doing this? Some of your rival recruiters, if you like, you know, they, how can I put it, they don't really invest in Treasury. Treasury for them is one of the things they do. They're sitting exactly right. But as you see here, that's all we do. It's the only thing. Treasury recruitment is our business. We do it everywhere and we've done it for coming on as of next week, 20 years. I also love talking to treasurers, as you all know. Go to treasurycareercorner.com the podcast. And I've been doing that. Wow. So four years, I thought it'd be ten episodes. We're now over two hundred and forty episodes. Ninety thousand downloads. Keep talking. Some amazing treasury professionals out there. So keep on writing in, let me know who wants to be on the podcast. Love to have you guys. We've obviously got the new person time with us in the US and yeah, I look forward to next year. So next year it's going to be in Barcelona. We'll probably do an amazing stand just like this. It's been an amazing conference and can't wait to see you all soon.
