TIM MUINDI Aiming for Growth An International Career Leap in Treasury

It's very tech heavy here in Silicon. And the company I was with, transportation company, was largely domestic. And for me, if I'm going to get an opportunity to expand my career, to grow in my career, I needed to get some international experience, but I didn't have any. And so where was I going to get that experience? And that's where I decided there's a good opportunity at Ernst and Young and this is a place I could go learn from the global treasury advisory services and work on a lot of different projects, get some exposure to Pefex that I didn't have before. And so I joined EY and I was literally on the road 95 plus percent of the time just working on projects. And within the year plus that I was there, I probably feel like I got maybe five years of experience just because it was just back to back and got to travel a lot, got to see a lot of different scenarios, got to work with a lot of different tech companies as they work through especially FX issues, also technology issues as well in terms of finding new systems, working on implementations. Right. And so that gave me a really good exposure.
