Week 1: Treasury Skills Wheel | Bounce Back Program

Mike Richards introduces the Treasury Bounce Back program, which starts with the Treasury Skills Wheel, a self-assessment tool built from interviews with treasury experts. The program uses weekly Zoom calls to help treasury professionals identify skill gaps and improve job prospects.
Hello, guys, it's Mike Richards from the treasury recruitment company here. I launched the Treasury Bounce Back program a little over a week ago now. My aim originally was to get maybe 20 or 30 of you over the next month or so to take part in the program so we can improve your treasury job prospects. I've been blown away. We've had over 200 treasury professionals sign up globally for the program. It's not closed yet, so you can still Visit our website, TreasuryRecruitment.com and go to Bounce Back sign up if you're still interested. But we'll be kicking off things this week, so I look forward to helping over 200 of you out there in the treasury recruitment market looking to find that next job when we come out of this Covid crisis. Welcome on board. Hope you enjoy the next six weeks journey together. That we do. Can I ask that you make sure you've completed your registration form? Seems a little thing, but it means that what we're going to do is tailor the course directly to you, our audience, over the future weeks, make sure it's tailored for you at the right level. First week coming up, week one. Treasury Skills Wheel. We created the Treasury Skills Wheel. It's a definitive set of skills that were identified by over 60 leading treasury professionals who I've interviewed on our Treasury Career Corner podcast. And it's a blueprint, if you like, of treasury skills, which they've all identified as critical to zip future success and your future success as a Treasury professional. What are you going to do on the Treasury Skills Wheel? Self assessment. You can know your strengths, but also you need to identify your weaknesses so that you can focus on improving those or seeking to improve them. Multi skilling. Now, you might be a technical guru, but if you can't communicate that with other people within the room, then you need to start to work on your communication skills. Hiring decisions not just for yourself, but when you're going for an interview, you need to know what you're being measured against. That's what it helps you to identify. This big wheel skills assessment, obviously, benchmarks where you are now and this week. That's what we're going to do. We're going to assess where you are this week in terms of your treasury skills, hard skills, so qualifications, technical expertise, soft skills, communication, propensity to learn and everything else. So that's this week done. So next week we'll be focusing on your professional goals, your personal aims and the financial rewards you want to achieve from your treasury career. Also, we'll be hosting a weekly group Zoom call where we all look at our results and everything else. Have a good chat about it. I hope to see you on next Tuesday's Group Zoom. Let's call it that. I don't know and speak soon. Really? Thanks.
