This is a YouTube video titled "Week 5: Effective Interviewing" featuring Mike Richards from a treasury recruitment company. Hello, everyone, it's Mike Richters here from the treasury recruitment company. Wow. We're into what's it week five now. Did week four LinkedIn. Thanks for that. Was a good session. This week we move on to tips and tricks for effective interviewing. A lot of people within treasury in particular don't get any training, don't get any advice about this. So this is about how to give a great interview whether you're seeking a job or maybe also if you're the client interviewing someone for a job and how to get the best out of someone. Also, it's changed a lot recently with, you know, the pandemic and everything else. You're looking at a new virtual age of zoom, Skype, virtual interviewing. And people have asked me, do I need to plan for it as well? Is it similar? It's exactly the same. You need to plan for it as if it's the same interview, that you're actually meeting the person face to face. The only thing you're not doing is shaking their hand, then using sanitizer. So basically it's a real life interview in everything in order to achieve the same results. But there's even more planning that probably knows needs to go into it and some tips and tricks. We'll give you some. We're also using some of the fun video tips I created a couple of years ago now. I got asked a number of junior cats at all. I've been looking on the web about some interview practices and things and they were saying, should I dress up for the interview? I was like, yes, like, be smart, formal, you know, not, you know, don't wear a full suit. Depending on what's happening with the. The client's dress code and things like that. But I was really shocked and I looked online, there weren't so many video courses, so we created one. It's a bit of fun, you know, we've got the areas like, as I said, we do it with tongue firmly in my cheek, but there are some real messages there. So dress to impress. Positive mental attitude, but balancing that without being overconfident, how not to be completely critical of your employer. So some loyalty, directly answering questions, understanding yourself and knowing your own CV and why you actually want the role that you're going for. And then when they ask you at the end if you've got any questions, always have a question. So looking forward to it. Hope you enjoy it with effective interviewing. Before we move on to the final week, week.
