Mike Richards examines how remote work has reshaped treasury jobs since Covid. He draws on survey data and client conversations to explain why office attendance expectations have shifted and what treasury professionals now expect from their employers.
My colleague Craig, he asked me about working remotely here for now, here to stay. This is what we started to do. He actually said that when as we went through Covid, he actually said, look, can we ask the questions about how many days people are coming back into the office? How many days they would be, they wanted to come in, how many days they were asked to be in, asked to work in the office and how many days would you like to work in the office? And if people want access this, just go to treasurysalary.com you'll get, you know, access to that straight away. The reason I bring this up and it being so powerful, as you can see there, 8% of people want to be in four to five days a week. Now when I was talking my client in Texas, I was sitting there, we're doing the zoom with them. Yeah, yeah, zooming away. And the thing was with the guys, they were like, oh, but we're back in the office. I went, yeah, you're the 8%. I said, you're happy to come back in. I said, if I need to re recruit your job. As I said, I went to 150 candidates and only 15 of which said, yeah, I'm happy to come in the office five days a week. Now it's pivoting and changing.
