In this video, Mike Andes explains how his dual experience as a home‑service operator and software founder shapes HomeWorks CRM. He recounts growing his lawn‑care business into a $75 M franchise, using that real‑world proving ground to design features such as dispatch, reporting, a new calendar/dispatch board, MCP, API access, and AI‑driven workflows. Andes stresses the importance of staying close to operators to avoid the typical drift of software companies after founders exit or private‑equity takes over. He shares current company metrics—over 30 team members and more than $4 M of daily revenue processed through the platform—and positions HomeWorks as a solution for 7‑figure home‑service companies whose existing CRMs have stagnated. The video ends with a promotional offer: a 4‑digit code for a free first month (and a second free month after onboarding).

There's a pretty big difference between building software for home service companies and actually running one. I do both. I started my lawn care business before I started HomeWorks. The business eventually became Augusta Lawn Care, which has grown into a franchise system with more than $75 million of annual revenue. And that's one of the biggest advantages we have when we build software. We have a proving ground. When I'm looking at dispatch, I'm thinking about actual crews going out tomorrow morning. When we work on reporting, I care about whether an owner or manager can use that information to make a better decision. When we build around AI and have MCP and API access, I'm thinking about what I would actually want an AI agent to do inside my own company. That connection is especially important to me because I've watched what happens to software companies after the people who originally cared about the customer get further and further away from the product. The roadmap slows down, the founders leave, When private equity comes in, support just feels different, and the operators using the software can tell. I don't want HomeWorks to become that company. I'm still in the home service industry every day. Our product team has access to operators running real companies, and we're using that feedback to continue shipping things like the new calendar and dispatch board, MCP and API access, and deeper workflows for serious home service businesses. HomeWorks now has more than 30 people on the team. And more than $4 million of revenue is processed through the platform every day. We're building for companies that expect their software to keep improving as their business grows.
