Mike Koenigs demonstrates OpenAI's Operator automating a web task: finding Dan Sullivan books on Amazon, extracting descriptions and top reviews, then saving everything to a Google Doc. The AI logged in, solved a CAPTCHA with human help, and completed the job without manual intervention.
Chapters
OpenAI came up with something called Operator. And you can make these things do a lot of things, and they're still pretty dumb and not that great, but they're smart enough that they're pretty impressive. So I gave it an instruction. I said, go on Amazon and capture all of Dan Sullivan's books and the descriptions of the books and the top 10 most positive reviews and put them in a Google document. So what it did is it logged into Amazon when it needed to wait and asked me to prove that I was a human. It let me take over for a moment, and there's where it said it waited and it had encountered a captcha. I entered those and then it went out and it searched and it started finding. And this thing's moving around and clicking. And then it logged in to my Google account and it's going through each of the books, copying, pasting, grabbing information, grabbing the descriptions. And if we go to the end here, you can see and watch it actually run. It's basically built a virtual computer in a virtual AI. It's operating, it's looking at the screen, it understands commands, it's reading and doing what I instructed it to do.
