Welcome back to the Mind of My Wellness Podcast. This is Dani, and whether this is the first episode that you've tuned into or maybe it's the hundredth episode, I just want to welcome you into my community. It truly means the world to have you here. And I truly cannot believe that this is the 100th episode of the podcast. This podcast was something I couldn't even imagine coming true. And I truly just have you guys to thank for this because I love connecting in this format. I love discussing topics that are really there to impact women's health and women's lives in general. And just the women I've gotten a chance to interview and talk about really important aspects of women's health with has been truly revolutionary for so many of you, but for me as well. And I was thinking a lot about what I wanted the 100th episode to be focused on for this podcast and for this episode. I know I share a ton of knowledge and tips and recommendations and coaching and guest experts, but for this episode, I thought I'd give you a little bit of background on me and a little bit of sneak peek as to what's to come. Because I'm in a very, very interesting stage in my life where I just feel pulled in a somewhat new direction. And there will be so much more coming out about this here sooner than later. But I'm going to give you a little bit of a sneak peek in this episode. So a little bit about me that I really want to share because I think a lot of people just see me where I'm at now. And I have always had such a passion for women's health, women's wellness, and to truly strive to be the best version of myself. There's always been this constant theme in my life. No matter when I was in elementary school as a competitive figure skater or in high school going off to college, in my time, throughout my corporate career, and even now throughout my time really building my business inside mind and my macros, I have always, always, always strived to constantly learn, constantly evolve, and constantly strive to be this better version of myself. And my guess is that you also, if you're tuning into these episodes, you are also, in one way or another, trying to strive to be this better version of yourself, trying to gather information, tips, education, to always evolve, always improve, whether that's through your health mentality, whatever it is. And that has just been a constant theme in my life. So if you resonate with that, then I'm so glad you're here because I really feel pulled to evolve in this chapter of my life, especially since I've become a mother and a lot of things that used to be very important to me, priorities have shifted and what matters to me has really shifted, especially in these last, you know, seven, eight, nine months of my life. And it's almost like I've stepped into this new realm and I'm seeing things through a different lens and a bigger lens. And I'm so excited to share all of this with you. But for those of you who maybe haven't been around the block with me for the past, you know, few years, about three years ago, I dove in headfirst into mind in my macros. I had Created minded my macros on Instagram as an Instagram account that was totally private. I didn't want anybody I knew knowing about the account, even my husband. I simply built it out as a way for me to basically store the recipes that I loved. I'd take a picture of them, I put the recipe in the caption, and overnight it just started to kind of grow and grow and grow. And all of a sudden I had my husband finding me. I had friends being like, hey, I didn't know you were doing this. And it started out as this passion of mine, but really undercover and day to day, I was working my corporate career. I was always stressed. I had crazy anxiety. And it took me a year after leaving corporate for anybody who knows what slack is, the little slack notification. I would get PTSD anytime I heard Slack. And I use slack inside my internal business, with my team, and inside my coaching program. So I hear it all the time. I would have such PTSD from that sound because of my corporate days. And there was just almost eight, nine years of my life where I just felt like, this is what I'll be doing for the rest of my life. Like, there's no other option for me. For me. I grew up. You know, you go to college, you get a job, and you stay at that job for a really long time. You work up the corporate ladder, you try to make more money. That is what success looks like. And that sort of success was quite literally driving me into the ground. I was struggling with ha, hypothalamic amenorrhea. I was not getting my period. I struggled with crazy acne. I struggled just basically living in this fight or flight because of the lifestyle that I was living. Because my soul mentality was like, I have to be a good girl. I have to do well in my job. I have to be this amazing friend and put others in front of myself. And I was just on this constant hamster wheel without even realizing that I was on it. It was like I was just living in autopilot. And it wasn't until 2020, when the world shut down and everyone's at home, that I really started evaluating, like, what is important to me? What do I want my life to look like? What am I doing with my life? And that was the first time I had had this sort of revelation where I actually kind of hit pause and was like, whoa, why do I. Why do I feel like that's not achievable for me? Why do I think that I have to be in this corporate job grinding and struggling with hormonal issues and struggling with my health, and why do I have to do that? And slowly but surely, I figured out a way to create a life that I loved living, that I found joy in every single day. And that lit me up. And I hadn't felt that way in years. No matter what job I had, it was a good job on paper, but I was really just unhappy. And I thought it was me. I was like, what is wrong with me? And the truth is, is that I was not aligned for that. And what my bigger purpose was, was to help women be the best versions of themselves, find health and in a sustainable way, in a way that feels good, that's not backtracking their health and not feeding into diet culture. So fast forward, I created mind and my macros out of a way to really connect and help other women find a better solution for them. And throughout this process, I slowly started taking on one on one clients. And it was amazing. And I was approaching 20. What was this, 2022? And I told my husband at the time he was my fiance, and I was like, okay, I know we're getting married in April, but my goal is that by the end of 2022, I can quit my corporate job and I can go all in on my business, because this is what lights me up. I love working with women. I love seeing just these transformations. Not physically. Like, it goes so far beyond the physical. And sure, the physical is cool and all, but like, seeing a woman have more energy to show up for her family and feel like a completely different person and no longer struggle with mood swings and feel like she just enjoys being around herself more and thus everyone else around her just loves being around her. That is what lights me up. And helping women see that they don't need to be eating low calorie, excluding certain foods from their diet, and finally finding this, like, freedom around food where it's like one less thing to stress about and then they don't have to carry that on and give that same stress to their child. That is what lights me up. And so I just kept doubling down on this passion that I had and this feeling that I had never felt so aligned in my life. And again, I told my fiance, my husband now, but at the time he was my fiance. And I told Eric, you know, at the end of this year, I want to go in full time. And, you know, when you're just so aligned with something, you show up every single day and you are operating from a place of inspiration, that inspiration fully takes over and you can Quite literally create the life that you want. And four months later, well, three and a half months later, two weeks before my wedding, I put in my notice at my corporate job and I went full time into minded my macros. And since then, I have been able to work with over 1200 women. It has been the best experience of my life. And I was able to create this podcast as a result. And truthfully, I never would have even thought I would have created a podcast five years ago when I was working on my corporate career, because that was just never something that I could do. And it is amazing how much we limit our potential. It is amazing how powerful our mind is and how our mind can quite literally talk us out of things. Or the opposite. Which I decided to really challenge myself that year in 2022, to challenge my belief system. I'm still working on this to this day, but it has been revolutionary. And I couldn't have imagined five years ago being where I am now. And so much of that has to do with your mindset, your belief system, and really working to challenge some of those traditional beliefs that you've had that maybe are not serving you. So I'm sharing all of this to say that this podcast. I cannot believe we are a hundred episodes into this podcast, that five years ago, I could not even imagine it existing or me being in this position to even put out episodes for you to even listen to. The fact that you are listening to this episode right now is proof that we can create anything we want to create. And I hope that this episode maybe lights a fire under you. If you feel like you're kind of just on autopilot, you feel like there's something bigger for you out there, you just don't know what that is yet. That's okay. That is okay. I was there. I didn't know what was around the corner, but I just kind of trusted this gut feeling that I had, this instinct that I had that I was meant to do something much bigger with my life. I was meant to help women with this life that I have. And it got me to where I am now, which brings me to what's ahead. And I'm just gonna give you a little bit of a sneak peek because there's so much more to come on this. But in this same realm, just like in 2020 when I had this revelation as I've stepped into motherhood, I'm sure a lot of you listening who are also mothers, have had a bit of a transition yourself when you gave birth and in those months following birth, And I mean, I'm only almost eight months into being a mom and I can only imagine that it just continues to do this. But I again, have really just had so many conversations with myself in terms of what is truly important for me. What does this future me look like? And this future me looks like looks a whole heck of a lot different than future me even five years ago. And I have really had to think about how do I want to show up to honor this future me, to become this future me, this best version of myself. And with that is a lot of expansion, a lot of growth and looking at things in a different way. And I'm going to leave it there because I don't want to give too much away. But I hope that you'll come with me on this journey. I'll just say that I hope that what I have to share is really helpful for you, no matter what phase of life you're in. Because if you're anything like me, the constant theme is that I am always evolving, I am always learning, I am always wanting to be a better version of myself. And I hope that 80 year old Dani can look back on her life and be so proud of the life that she created. And I have kind of had this 80 year old Danny with me since I was in my late teens even, which I don't know how high school Danny was thinking like this, but I've always had this 80 year old Danny that I think about and it used to be will I regret this? Will I regret this decision? But since my 20s I've really seen that evolve and it's more of will I regret not doing this? Will 80 year old Dani regret not taking this opportunity? Would 80 year old Dani regret not putting herself out there or texting this person or asking for help or just checking in with somebody? Would 80 year old Dani be disappointed if they didn't go out on a limb and try this one thing? That seems really scary, but maybe that one thing is literally the one thing that changes the trajectory of her life. And you don't know until you try. But I always, always, always think about 80 year old Dani looking back and her asking, would you regret not doing this? Would you be disappointed if you didn't do this? Knowing now what could be on the other side? And I am carrying that into this next chapter with me as well. Which is really why I am so excited to share so much more with you in the coming months. But until then, I'm leaving it a bit on a cliffhanger. I've been watching the White Lotus and Severance and they always leave them on the cliffhangers and that's what I'm doing to you guys. So I hope that you'll come along with me on this journey. I am so excited to share even more with you in a new lens and I only know it's going to help you again. If you are very like, very much like me, where you want to constantly evolve, you want to constantly find this better version of yourself and strive to be her, I know you're in the right place and I hope that you'll just continue to come along on this journey with me.
