Yeah, unfortunately, like I told you, which I hope you put in the book, my top tier education and I went to a fairly reputable good endocrinology training program, especially for diabetes care. And my training in thyroid was the exact same as yours in PA school, it was you check TSH, we would check a T4, but there was no emphasis on T3.0. There was no emphasis on the need to check it to understand why it mattered to use desiccated thyroid hormones. So the same as you, we were told if you give people T3 containing thyroid medication, you will increase the risk of afib, which is a fluttering of your heart, which can lead to strokes and heart attacks. We were told it causes bone loss.
