McCall McPherson argues the Women's Health Initiative study that discouraged hormone replacement therapy was flawed. A 2024 study of over a million women found HRT linked to lower risks of breast and ovarian cancer, reduced breast-cancer mortality, and lower cardiac and neurodegenerative disease risk.

Many women, especially women who are menopausal right now, they grew up and aged in a time where medicine repeatedly told them that hormone replacement therapy was dangerous and horrible and you should be terrified. And here's the reality, guys, that was based on a study called the Women's Health Initiative that came out in the early 2000s, late 90s, somewhere around there. And that study has been single handedly debunked, ripped apart. The people that put on the study have came out and retracted it. It is not true. The data was not analyzed correctly, the study was not run correctly, and it has in turn cost millions of women their health, hormonal and otherwise, because of crappy data. In spring of 2024, the largest study ever conducted on hormone replacement for women came out and looked at. I wish I had the exact stats in front of me. It was over a million women over, I think 10 or 20 years. And it showed women who took hormone replacement, even estrogen, had less breast cancer risk, less ovarian cancer risk. Studies have shown less likelihood of death from breast cancer if you're on hormone replacement therapy when you get diagnosed, less cardiac risk, less neurodegenerative or dementia, Alzheimer's risk.
