McCall McPherson explains Modern Thyroid Clinic's two-part approach to Graves disease: find and reduce the autoimmune triggers causing thyroid swings, then use block-and-replace therapy to keep patients stable in the middle rather than swinging between hyper and hypothyroid states.

We do treat Graves disease at Modern Thyroid Clinic, and honestly, I feel we treat it better than anyone I know. So we look at GRAVES in two main parts. One is managing the autoimmune part of your disorder, meaning trying to actually reduce the severity of your Graves autoimmune disease, which reduces the giant swings in your thyroid function that cause so many problems in Graves people's lives. And we do that by working on finding triggers that are creating and promoting graves. The other thing that we do that is so incredible is something called block and replace therapy, where it's a very unique way of not leaving Graves patients either completely hyper and uncomfortable or completely hypo and miserable. We found a way to get you to the middle ground to improve your quality of life. So pretty awesome.
