Fantastic question. Can you work out while you're fasting? My answer is if you are trying to lose weight, yes. Now I don't usually Recommend HIIT or CrossFit workouts while fasting, but running peloton weights, yoga, pilates bar, all of that. Yes. And the reason is this. If you wake up and you have a smoothie and you go run four miles, you basically burn off the smoothie you just ate. You don't tap into your fat stores. If you want to lose weight you have to tap into your fat stores to produce energy. So intermittent fasting while you work out forces you to tap into your fat stores to produce the energy you need for the workout and then recover. So I even advise people to wait to eat after they work out to allow their body to tap into a little bit more of their fat stores for energy. Now always listen to your body. So if you start getting really depleted tired after your workouts, you need to stop but otherwise it's a go.
