When I was going through my own thyroid crisis when I was 27, the doctor tried to put me on a statin for high cholesterol that was actually just literally due to my levothyroxine not working at all for my body. I was 27. He was going to happily put me on Lipitor, but refused to run a full thyroid panel to determine if perhaps my medication wasn't working for my physiology. So, absolutely, I mean, cannot be. And that's one piece of the two pieces. There are a million impacts to poor thyroid function for our long term health. And if we want to intervene on a lot of them at once, certainly a potent, powerful way is to actually fix this problem for women that is destroying their health and destroying their quality of life.
