In this brief excerpt from a YouTube interview, Anthony Davis (Speaker A) reflects on the Los Angeles Lakers' 2020 NBA championship, emphasizing how the lack of a traditional victory parade left the triumph feeling incomplete. He describes the missing elements of a full celebration—fans, a stage, a speech, and the communal joy—and questions whether he truly "won" a championship without that experience. Davis expresses a strong desire to earn a "real" championship experience, including competing for another title, winning on the road in a Western Conference arena, and feeling the intensity of a finals environment again. The segment ends with a mention of Draymond Green, underscoring the broader NBA context.

We win and at that moment, I feel like I've accomplished everything. We knew that we wasn't having a parade. And that's the one thing that I miss the most. We couldn't get the full experience of winning the championship when you get the parade, the fans come out, you know, you on the stage and you get to say a speech, like you're drunk, you having fun, like whatever it is. To this day, I think about that. Like, man, did I really win a championship? And you hear the noise, which to me is probably the hardest championship to ever accomplish. I know I'm a champion, but I want the real experience, which is why it's like, I wanna compete so bad. Yeah. I wanna compete for a championship so bad, 'cause I wanna go on the road. I wanna go into a Western Conference arena and get a win on the road. I've never had a chance to experience that in a final situation. Win, lose, or draw, like, to be in that experience and that environment again, like, that's the thing I want most. Draymond Green.
