In a brief YouTube short, Draymond Green and a co‑host discuss the NBA Most Improved Player (MIP) award, weighing Austin Reaves against Dyson Daniels. The conversation highlights Reaves' journey from an undrafted player to a key contributor for the Los Angeles Lakers, noting his scoring jump from roughly 15 to 20 points per game, the corresponding salary increase from about $15 million to $35 million, and his emergence as a versatile third‑option player who can score, pass, and rebound. While acknowledging Daniels' strong case, both speakers ultimately favor Reaves as the most improved, emphasizing his two‑way impact and rapid development.

Most improved player. Who you got for most improved? Dyson Daniels, Austin Reeves?
I would say Austin Reeves. I think he was undrafted to making a name for himself to stay on the Lakers, to then being a bona fide NBA star and went from 15 to 20 points a game with LeBron, with Luka still in the mix.
There's a big difference in the NBA of averaging 15 points to 20 points. Like you may look at that and be like, oh, that's only 5 points. That's the difference in some games. That's also the difference in, like, someone making $15 million a year and someone making $35 million a year. I gotta go with Austin Reeves as well. I think Dyson Daniels is right there. But when I look at Austin Reeves, he's been arguably the best third option in basketball. When presented the opportunity, he's been an incredible two. And obviously, we know he can pass the ball too. He rebounds the ball. To go from undrafted to that, I, I gotta go with Austin Reeves. Mm-hmm.
