In this informal spoken anecdote, Baron Davis (Speaker A) recalls a preseason game from Blake Griffin's rookie season where coach Mike Dunleavy decided to re‑insert Griffin into the fourth quarter despite the game being a low‑stakes exhibition. Davis describes the team's confusion and frustration at the decision, noting that Griffin subsequently injured his knee. The story highlights the tension between competitive drive and the purpose of preseason games, and it critiques the coach's choice to prioritize a win over player health.
