In a brief spoken commentary, Draymond Green lauds the Boston Celtics for openly announcing their objective of winning "Banner 18," a rare practice among NBA franchises. He emphasizes that publicly stating such a championship goal is unconventional, noting that most teams keep ambitions private to avoid external pressure. Green expresses deep respect for the Celtics' transparency and commitment, linking the banner number to his own age (18) as a symbolic connection. He argues that honoring one's stated goals reflects integrity and business accountability, and he challenges anyone who cannot respect this approach, positioning his admiration as a benchmark for organizational honesty in the league.

For a franchise in the NBA to like publicize how much they're going after Banner 18 is crazy. Like that's not standard practice in, in, in NBA. It's just not. They actually did it. I got nothing but respect for that. A lot of people would tell you, you gotta go, don't tell nobody 'cause they try to tear it down. They, they, they kept telling us our goal, we gotta get Banner 18. And I'm 18, 18, 18. And they actually went and did it. And if you can't respect that, I can respect that. So if you can't respect that, I'm sorry, but I can't respect you because that is the definition of standing on what you speak on, standing on business, however you wanna break it down. That is it. Draymond Green.
