In a brief conversational clip, Draymond Green and an unnamed speaker discuss the San Antonio Spurs' recent acquisition of point guard De'Aaron Fox and how his pairing with rookie center Victor Wembanyama creates a powerful new core for the franchise. Green praises the fit, noting that Fox turned down an extension elsewhere to join San Antonio, and calls the move a "proper" foundation. He highlights the trade deadline as a major heist, emphasizing that the Spurs secured Fox without giving up Stephon Castle, a notable omission. Green suggests the Spurs should consider trading away future picks to fine‑tune the roster around this duo, arguing that great teams make bold moves to develop generational talent. The speakers echo enthusiasm about the talent pool in San Antonio and reference past moves, such as the DeMar DeRozan trade, to illustrate the team's evolving strategy.

What do you think about Wemby and Fox teaming up? I like it a lot.
This is it. This is proper. They're in a franchise that know how to make that work. I know that was one of the reasons Fox turned the extension down is because I think he wanted to end up in, in San Antonio with Wemby.
This duo gonna be crazy, bro. Yes, it is. And they got talent in San Antonio.
You want me to tell you what I think one of the biggest heists is of this trade deadline?
What?
They were able to get De'Aaron Fox and not include Stephon Castle.
Ooh, that was big.
Now you talking about want, want to trade. That's why I'm like Spurs, give up the picks. You got your core. Like now you just need to fine tune. And the oldest one is 27. Great teams make great moves. We gonna get generational talent.
Yep. And they were trying to figure it out with the talent they had. They moved DeMar in there. Now they move CP to, to compliment Wemby. Now you got De'Aaron Fox.
