In a candid interview, Draymond Green asks DeMarcus Cousins about his experience navigating the Sacramento Kings organization amid coaching changes, front‑office turnover, and an ownership transition. Cousins describes the period as tough and confusing, contrasting it with his earlier, more professional environment at Kentucky where he felt treated like a pro. He recounts a coach named Sisko calling him "spoiled" for his Kentucky background, a comment he later reflects on as misguided once he realized the Kings' environment was a "shithole." Cousins notes that despite not wanting to trash the Kings, he arrived during a down period for the franchise, highlighting the challenges of dealing with instability and frequent personnel changes.

Like, you know, I'm not here to like shit on the Kings or anything like that. That's just, you know, in sports you have up and down years. And you know, I just so happened to come in at a point where it was down years.
